I bought this a few months ago and forgot about it. The other day I found it and used it. I've been wearing my hair in a ponytail forever because my hair is thinning. I lose a lot of hair every day. So I sprayed this colored dry shampoo into my hair. And it actually surprised me how well it worked. It made my hair look full and voluminous and covered up the gray streaks and covered up where the hair has been thinning. You couldn't even tell that I had anything in my hair. And there was no mess, I sprayed it on after I did my makeup and what little color got on my forehead just wiped away easily with my hand. No leftover color on the skin. I am so glad I found this product. I can wear my hair down again thank goodness!!! The picture above is the day after being slept on and not being touched up. You can see that even if you have to sleep on it, it's still there the next morning not on your pillow. You can see where my scalp shows through and that just because the color went away a little throughout the day. Now imagine how good it is when applied fresh and it does last all day.

The Divine Dark seems to work well for my medium brown hair. The tint makes your part seem more filled out and it takes care of the oil well. Makes hair seem thicker, as most dry shampoo does, so I'll even use it on clean hair sometimes. I usually only have to brush it through so as not to have a powdery look. Doesn't drop powder on skin or clothes (but you can get some on the skin when you spray if your aim is off enough. I usually just put up my hand to prevent this). If you're going camping or something and use this for too many days without washing, your hair will begin to feel really dry. Probably the same for all dry conditioners.

I really like the Batiste dry shampoo products because they actually work. However, for a spray-on dry shampoo to be effective, there has to be powder, and if there's powder, there will be powder residue. It's a reality that I came to accept after trying multiple brands that proudly touted their "no powder residue" dry shampoos only to discover that everyone of those I tried were also totally worthless and ineffective. (They never mention that part.) Dark hair colors make white residue a problem, but I held out on these brown versions because of their considerably higher price. I finally relented and now must have a brown dry shampoo on hand at all times. I do wish the brown was even darker than it is since it is still lighter than my medium ash brown hair. I still use the white version around home, but if I'm going out in public, it's brown Batiste all the way....and it smells amazingly wonderful, too! I still gripe about the price....well, not so much the price, but the cans of the brown are smaller than their white dry shampoo and they never seem to be completely full, so they really don't last long. (The reason I docked one star.) Come on, guys, give us a full can or drop the price...please?
