The battery doesn't last very long (a day or so), so you have to constantly keep it on the charging cradle when not in use.
A bit of a pain.
It's partly because it only takes a single AA, partly because it probably has a relatively fast / power hungry chip to get the high-res high sampling rate.
My cheap Logitech wireless mice lasted months on a pair of rechargeable AAs.
Also, sometimes the mouse pointer movements feel crooked, not quite moving in the right direction.
Other mice don't have this issue on the same surface.
Also, when you try to wake the computer up from screen-saver mode, the mouse takes several seconds to start working.
It's pretty irritating.
Overall, it's a bit disappointing, especially considering how expensive it is.
A plus is that it comes with it's own rechargeable AND REMOVABLE battery. Can either use it wireless and wired. Now for the wireless portion. Most gaming enthusiasts out there typically DO NOT use wireless mice due to the amount of "lag" the wireless option can incur while gaming (as most gamers know, you need all of the response time you can get). There is no lag at all when using this mouse wireless. Battery does drain a bit fast while using wireless and having the lights on. It also comes with it's own stand alone "base station" that you can hook up using the included micro USB - USB cord. Can also sit the mouse right on the stand to charge it whenever it's not in use.
Now the mouse does have a cool couple of features to further customize the feel and fit of the mouse to your particular grip style. The main palm rest and be moved up and down to get the right feel for your palm, then it can be moved in and out from the main section of the mouse to match the length of your fingers and overall length of your hand. Then using the same method to lengthen or shorten the palm rest, you can take the cover off to reveal the battery hidden inside. Typical of all wired mice, the cable hooks into the front of the mouse with it's own set of guide rails to keep the cable aligned and to help keep the cable secured to the mouse port.
To turn on the mouse you simply depress the top two DPI switching buttons and there you go. 5 seconds to turn off and 3 seconds to turn on. Also for the instructions, if you need to look them up, Google them since the paper instructions included are pretty much useless other than a basic overview of the mouse features. This mouse can of course be synced up and calibrated and customized further with the use of Razer Synapse 2.0. You can completely customize the X and Y axis for the DPI, can only change the brightness of the lights. And the amount of DPI is insane, around 8200. I don't know who needs that much but it opens up the entire field for wherever your movement speed is needed
As for gaming mice in general, there is always room for improvement but for this mouse it is pretty damn good. I just wish it was a little bit wider overall minus the "wings" since my hand is bigger than most mice provide in width.
Hopefully this helps for you guys. See you in the Battlefield!

-wired and wireless
-customizable (software and hardware)
-confortable
-precise
Cons:
-overpriced
-wireless dongle is way too huge (it's the charging dock)
-the profile software is very slow and greedy (in space and resources)
Battery life is pretty long (about 5-7 hours for me, continuous usage) and you can always switch to wired or alkaline batteries if the rechargeable runs out.
