This product key still works! Golden oldie 3rd-person game.

This product key still works! Golden oldie 3rd-person game.
Okay, first thing's first: the installation I've seen a lot of people saying this key doesn't work; they're wrong. I bought this game, got the email from amazon, then looked up on youtube "Transformers War For Cybertron cd key-keygun.3gp" and found the video. The code in that video (if I typed it properly), D5TA-WL3C-6QQJ-W77A-A6C5 , is the first code you put in after the installation prompt. Once it accepts this key, it will proceed installation THEN ask you for the product activation code, which you'll get from this purchase. For settings/compatibility, as of April 2022 it runs fine on Windows 10 Ver. 21H2 without the need for any extra drivers or running the program in windows 7 compatibility mode. I run it at 120fps 1440p and have no issues or bugs from that. The only note I would say is that you should run it in fullscreen, since it has a windowed option but not a borderless windowed version.Second: Let's talk about the multiplayer! This PC edition makes this the third version I have played of the game. First, I played it way back when it came out on the Wii, as some bastardized on-rails shooter. I cannot recommend that version because half the fun of this game is exploring & viewing the detailed scenery or hidden powerups, as well as the mobility of vehicle mode. I also played it on PS3, back in it's multiplayer heyday, and it was a blast. Completely unbalanced gun-play, but in the most "who cares, it's fun" kinda way. Sadly, no platforms are able to do multiplayer since they shutdown the servers a few years ago. The only glimmer of hope there, is the "Transformers: ReEnergized" project consists of a bunch of modders trying to reconstruct the multiplayer from the ground up -- go check out their project!Third & finally: The single player, the main reason you SHOULD buy this game. This game is dated as hell, you can tell the music & graphics are very much 2010-era. That being said, the soundtrack is top-tier with a dozen really good mixtures of orchestral and rock/metal thrown in there. The soundtrack itself is somewhat adaptive to where you are and what you're doing. The graphics are, well... They're better than Fallout 3, that's the best I can say. VERY low resolution textures, low-poly models, extremely antiquated lighting, and cutscenes that are still 720p @ 30fps. There is a silver lining here, and it's that either the developers were future seers or just lucky, but the low-end graphics just work. There's no fur/hair, water, trees w/ god-rays, fleshy creatures, or even foliage BECAUSE THIS TAKES PLACE ON CYBERTRON. Therefore, there's very few objects you look at and think "oh god that shouldn't look like that", because it's an extremely grungy & stylized depiction of a robotic planet. The story progression is really what got me to come back to this game, and actually is what got me into transformers as a franchise. They did oversimplify Megatron's "evil" way too much, and kinda streamlined the moral quandaries of the transformers universe to fit into the game, but it's still got a good plot. The voice actors gave 110% and it shows, as there are so many satisfying one-liners or insightful exchanges. Keeping in mind the technological limitations of games in 2010, there is an impressive level of scale & world building in this game. You go to iconic places on/in/around cybertron, and platform your way through pretty non-standard level design. The two campaigns (decepticon & autobot) feel pretty equal in terms of level of detail, and along the way you get a ton of little character moments. All in all, if you played it before & want nostalgia, or you are just a big transformers fan, get it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Product Codes DO NOT WORK!!
Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2021
if you look at all the reviews the same thing is happening. It just happened to me as well and that's really my fault for not reading the reviews. I saw a game I use to play and jumped on it, the codes don't work so do not spend the money. Luckily they were able to issue me a refund, I also told them they need to take this down so others won't run into the same problem.
