I ordered a "used like new" as I don't use this item very often. I had an Arrow that was about 25 years old when it died. The used unit I received had staples jammed in it and the mag spring appeared to be a mess. I assume the person that used it did not load it correctly. Also assume it was not checked by vendor prior to shipping to me. Will order new. Will follow up after trying new as I expect the same great usage as my old one.
I contacted Amazon and they immediately emailed me a UPS return label and scheduled a UPS pickup. Three business days later, I received an email that money had been returned. I have never had a problem with Amazon.
My wife ordered a new unit from Amazon and it arrived two days later. After looking at the new unit, I can positively saw parts were missing from the used unit.
I Changed my rating to 5 star as I am more than pleased with the new unit. If people will read the instructions they will learn that this unit loads very different from all other staplers I have ever seen or heard of. I have used three different sizes of staples and it works even better than my old one. Thanks Arrow, for the great unit.
And thanks AMAZON for your quick and great response.

Sorry people, I did read all the reviews before buying this gun.And was very cautious before I finally decided to buy this. The reviews that were Negative about this were wrong in my opinion.I've had this gun for just 2 weeks
in my company, and already it has done over 27 Boat Cushions without even breathing hard. Its exactly what I've been looking for.Light, Powerful, and easy and quick to load. After all, it is an Arrow. I find no negatives about this product what so ever. And even if it does fail soon, guess what ?? Its already paid for the second one.
Its not expensive, and I did not want the hassel of buying a portable air compressor just for upolstry work.
Its got some very minor flaws, but in the long run, it does the job.Being around all kinds of construction over the years, (thanx Dad)... I've seen air guns, electric ones, and hand staplers.Nothing compares to this one for the price thats for sure. Thank you once again Amazon and Arrow.

Well I bought this because the price was right and I was looking for something a little stronger than the smaller handheld electric ones. This one looked like it had a bit more power and I bought it to use for stapling canvas prints to the wooden frames. I usual a fairly heavy canvas and on the corners it can get fairly thick so I wanted a staple gun that could punch its way through and bite in to the wood nice and flush.

Well at first I thought it was working pretty good. It didn't feel like it had much power, but maybe that is just because I am used to the louder smaller ones, but it seemed to place the staple quite well at first. I made it through about 10 canvases until it just quit firing. It wasn't jammed, the spring mechanism just gave out. It looks like the spring may have just been weak and doesn't have enough tension to keep the staples tight. I tried to return it but I missed the return window by 10 days. To finish the job we bought another similar arrow staple gun from home depot...it's about the same size but only comes in a softcase...it was broken as well. It didn't even turn on. We then replaced that one same day and the next one turned on but had firing problems and required the gun to be opened and closed between each staple. Needless to say I will never buy an arrow product again.

I have used stale guns for over a decade from insulation to delicate canvases so I know how to use one and I only use the name brand staples. These arrow guns are just cheap garbage. I cannot think of another product, chinese or otherwise, that I have purchased and had 3 bad ones across two different models. I would have better luck getting a diamond ring from a grocery store coin machine than to get a good working arrow staple gun. Buy at your own risk, I'm sure some work just fine or they wouldn't be selling them, but it appears to me that the failure or DOA rate is much higher than it should be.

Has enough power to almost put a 1/2" staple into soft wood, but not quite. Most staples need a tap or two with a hammer to fully seat, and I'm using soft pine and spruce. Difficult to aim accurately due to excessively large nose and an awkward safety system. The safety is about 1/8" forward of where the staple will go, and the safety must be fully (!!!) depressed to shoot a staple. The nose around the head is pretty big, adding at least another 1/8" in front of the safety and 1/4" either side of the staple, which keeps you from setting a staple in a tight corner or close to a wall. Also means you cannot shoot staples into an inset in a frame or an inside upholstered corner. Works just barely OK for stretching canvas onto stretcher bars. Using 3/8" staples they still need a tap with a hammer and the staple never quite lands where you expect.

Was very hesitant to buy this product due to the negative reviews, but it had the best rating of all the non professional grade electric staplers. I've used it several times on fairly good sized upholstery projects, and have not had any issues. I have only been stapling into pine and plywood, and I'm not sure how well it would perform on hardwoods, but I've used a bunch of the other cheap electric staplers and believe this is the best of the group. Definitely not a Senco, but a quarter of the cost.
