I used to smoke one pack per day for over 30 years and had previouly tried to quit smoking twice, using will power, patches, chewing gum etc, without success. This book gives me the stimulus to fight the craving once again. As a smoker and psychlogist himself, Dr.Rosiere has a very good understanding and insight of the psychologic barrier that smokers face when trying to quit smoking and is able to address those issues in the book effectively. Now it has been over 3 months since I quit smoking and I am happy to say that, with the help of this book, quit smoking is not as difficult as I originally thought it would be.

Nothing to really get going in this .......authors own tale of woe.....kept reading and waiting for some truly great secret. Some meaningful inspiration.....not what you think from the title!

This book was a waste of time and money. There is no magic secret inside. In fact you read more about the author's woes as he lost one million dollars than you do about smoking cessation. I do not understand the positive reviews for this book. It was not helpful at all.

I was able to quit smoking after reading this book twice. I suffered very few side effects going off cigarettes. I smoked a pack and a half a day for about 20 years, and I was able to give up cold turkey. I was amazed! This book described everything you wanted and didn't want to know about cigarette smoking, and gave great advice on how to quit. It worked for me, and I hope it works for you, too.

It seems a little fishy that all of the reviews are 5 star (its possible but very rare to not get one or two people who simply didnt like the product for one reason or another) and on top of that, with only one exception all of the reviewers haven't reviewed anything else on amazon. In other words it seems like someone created multiple accounts to leave positive reviews for this book, and then never reviewed anything else with those accounts. Two of the reviews were actually by doctors and seem like they would be reviews on the book itself, not on amazon. I can't say anything about the book itself because I haven't read it, but the reviews seem almost too good to be true, and have actually driven me away from purchasing this book.

By Diane Barnes, RN, author of  The Book on Quitting Smoking
Let me get the negative out of the way first. I crave more organization than this book provided. The "secret" is described basically as an understanding of seven natural laws which govern the process of quitting smoking. I would expect each of the seven laws to be given prominence and then explained. But this was not the case.

Having said that, there were several points that I strongly agreed with. Those trying to quit must find a way to replace the things that smoking does for them. They must address both psychological issues as well as physical ones. I could go on.

Dr. Rosiere downplays the use of nicotine replacement therapy, but I still feel that it's quite helpful when used appropriately.

The concepts presented here are meant to apply to many more areas of a person's life than quitting smoking, and they do. The overall feel of the book is rather inspirational. I would recommend this book.

I wouldn't have imagined in a hundred years that I would ever stop smoking. I've been a smoker since I was 13. What's crazy is that every other time I tried to quit before I found myself craving a cigarette more and more until finally I would just give up and give in. Afterwards I was always left feeling guilty and defeated. This book somehow got rid of those cravings. I'm not even sure exactly how. I just know I don't miss cigarettes, and won't ever miss them again.

The absolute worst part of quitting is the fear of quitting. This book takes away that fear! It doesn't try to scare, convince or trick you. It doesn't even suggest you stop smoking while you read it. Cigarettes have a way of taking over and making you think life without them would be miserable. That couldn't be further from the truth. If after reading this book you still want to keep smoking then that's ok too, but please just don't be afraid to read the book.

Do yourself the biggest favor you can ever do and buy this book and read it with no an open mind...there's no pressure to quit, no guilt, and most of all NO FEAR!!!
