i am more than satisfied with this exhaust system. more power with very low sound. kind of pricey also with postage, but in the end result being stainless steel this should outlast the oem. time will tell. the original lasted 16 years. i don't think i will have the car that long, but the perfomance with the new exhaust was worth it. i would recommend this exhaust to anyone. just the price is high. you get what you pay for, and the quality is worth it. fit perfect. 30 minutes to remove old exhaust and install new one. great deal, john

This exhaust system was purchased initially because Borla suddenly quit making their single exit system for the PT Cruiser. I have a little over 69,000 miles on my 2003, and from the start, power was mildly inadequate. I thought the dyno-backed addition of 12-15 hp would help, especially with highway merging. I was pleasantly surprised at the performance improvement with the Magnaflow system. Not only does it sound great, it really helps with the giddy-up. The system installed easily on the floor of my garage using only jackstands on the rear. (The hardest part was removing the rusted OEM system.) I had only one issue with installation - the notch in the resonator pipe that engages with the cat pipe seems to be off in it's orientation. I had to cut about 1/4" of material away from the notch in order to get the rear sections to meet up properly. Easy fix, and other than that, I am extremely pleased. This exhaust system didn't require cutting out for another tail pipe, although I did have to clearance the rear valance for the large diameter tip. Coupled with an Air-Raid open element intake box, and an MSD Sport coil pack and wires with new platinum plugs, I have some serious hustle now.

Magnaflow PT Cruiser Exhaust

My main purpose for purchasing this exhaust was because it is stainless steel and I needed something that would hold-up to the salty environment that I live in here at the NJ Shore. It looks great, but I was very surprised by the improvement in performance that my car now has with this exhaust. It is like I purchased a new car because it is so much more fun to drive. Anyone who owns a non-turbo PT Cruiser knows what it is like to drive an underpowered car, but this exhaust system helps improve performance to make the Cruiser the fun car it was intended to be.
