This is the best soup cook book I have ever owned. This book was purchased as a gift for my brother who is a great cook and always loved the soups I have made from it. The illustrations are wonderful and fun to look at.

OK, many of the recipes don't have complex enough or interesting enough flavors to meet my score, but many do.

Wife is a soup-nut, and I bought it for her. The key is -if she's making soup for both of us, she only selects from those I've already read and thought I'd like. Works great.

We love soup. This book provides a wide variety of soup recipes that are sure to please many different palates. I do wish, however, this collection provided more meatless options. If you love hearty soups, and you enjoy a meal in a pot, then this book is for you. I highly recommend the recipe for Lasagna Soup.

I've had this book for years. Wonderful, tasty, natural, easy soups. I bought 2 more Books for my son and daughter who are out on their own with families. Must have for every cook.

I'm not a great chef but I know my way around good soups and good soup recipes. This book means well but the recipes are just so plain and unimaginative. Its good for the beginner who has simple tastes but don't look for anything complex or stick-to-your-ribs kind of fare. Further detracting from the weak recipes are the illustrations which (unnecessarily) dominate every page. Its like they wrote this book to be more of a coffee-table style book than a true cookbook.

This book is so much fun to learn and explore in. I enjoy looking at all the different recipes to find what I’m looking to make any given evening. With easy step by step recipes that end up giving you an amazing soup

The recipes in this book are simple enough for a beginner to follow. They do not require out of the ordinary items to make these soups. The instructions are easy to follow. I plan to buy another copy of this book as a gift.
