With its specially designed super-shallow composite body—a favorite of stage performers—ovation’s celebrity doubleneck combines 6- and 12-string guitars into a single, easy-to-play instrument. with a figured maple top and matched, lightweight bracing that’s designed to enhance punch and projection, this guitar covers all the bases. ovation’s pioneering multi-soundhole design enhances string vibration and sustain by improving soundboard efficiency. both slim necks are easy to play, and twin cutaways insure easy access to the either fretboard. the op-24+ preamp has 3-band eq with the option to select 400 hz or 1 khz as the middle-band frequency, and a pre-shape circuit reduces rumble from frequencies below 40 hz that can trigger feedback. a 3-way toggle switch allows players to quickly shift between 6- to 12-string pickups, or use a combination of both.

Some musical instrument makers or manufacturers are very enthusiastic, about their more unusual design of instrument. Ovation currently rank first in this. People's difficulties with such as a twin necked electric guitar, are primarily that it requires far more attention in terms of familiarisation and practise than the buyer had intended to give. Easily, to look at the guitar, a player would want to play their usual guitar most, and the double neck as a part time study or hobby. You really need to dedicate yourself only to the twin neck Ovation, forsaking other guitars, for a few years of study and show. A simple comparison was the Inmos Transputer, the parallel computing processor. Buyers only wanted to use it as a central processor, which it wasn't able to be, or apply the processor to various near impossible tasks, which because it was a kind of prototype, couldn't fulfill. Then, discussions or proclamations on how a (now very elderly design) serial processor could perform any task that a parallel processor could do, nailed the coffin lid on the Transputer project. The last point reminds of what a twin neck guitarist should listen for; "It kind of sounds like a single guitar" or "You could play that with a single neck guitar" or worse, "Play both sets at once!"
Remember this rule; don't look at the frets nor the strings when you play, whichever kind of guitar. KM
Excellent product, perfect craftsmanship, top quality, Plays very well once you get used to it and after the strings action are properly adjusted to match your playing style. It is made in Korea, but there is nothing to complain about it, the quality and attention to details is really outstanding.
