The Hagstrom Select Series, Vintage Series, and UltraLux Series guitars recapture the original glorious Hagstrom style. They are built to the same stringent quality standards and feature Hagstrom's exclusive technologies including the legendary H-Expander Truss Rod while introducing a number of new technological advances such as the Resinator Fretboard in order to guarantee that these are the finest guitars on the market. The Vintage Series Swede provides the perfect combination of fat sound and legendary style. The 24.75 inch scale neck combined with Hagstrom's super fast neck design make this guitar a dream to solo on. The Swede's totally unique tone filter dials in delicious vintage tones. This guitar features a 45mm Mahogany Body with 10mm Carved Mahogany Top and a Mahogany Set Neck. The fingerboard is made from Resinator wood with Hagstrom Pearl Block Position Marks. Resinator wood is more stable than any standard wood product. It is the perfect fingerboard material in that it eliminates wolf tones or hot spots, and it has a smooth, articulate sound. The H-Expander Truss Rod provides tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, and the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world’s fastest playing guitar. Other features are: Hagstrom 18:1 die cast tuning keys; a 3-way pickup toggle switch; a long travel T-O-M bridge with Hagstrom stop tail piece and 6 individual brass string blocks; 2 x volume/ 2 x tone, and a 3-way sound filter toggle switch.

Great LP style guitar with several extras and a superb neck. Fit and finish are great too. Pickups sound true to the 58's and mine came with a perfect set-up. I have owned many, many guitars over the years and have 20 or so now. This is a keeper. Beautiful gold finish and the necks on these Hags are just superb. I've also owned an Ultra Swede that was great in its own right... a friend begged me to let her buy it or it would still be with me. Good sustain and mine weighed in at just under 9 pounds, which is a solid but not too heavy range - perfect in my opinion.
Holds tune well, - its just a fine instrument. Well worth the money and Amazon shipped to me quickly and safely.
I had some cash laying around and found a great deal on this exact guitar. I had read alot about them and decided to pull the trigger on one. I took this to my tech in Nashville (String Theory Guitar, Thom is a badass) and he set it up perfectly.
I work at Gibson, I've played a lot of the newer USA models, some custom and a few Memphis. Although Gibson guitars will always be the ones that set the bar, these Hagstrom's do a damn fine job. They play/sound a bit different than a Les Paul, but I was very pleased with the tonal palate, feel, playibility and craftmanship on these guitars
If you don't have $1.5-3K to get a real Gibson, and want something that looks and plays great, I'd recommend Hagstrom any day!
ALWAYS GET YOUR GUITARS SET UP BY A TECH!! a good tech will do WONDERS for any mid-high grade axe
