Printer constantly prints black lines on pages, need to reprint constantly, feeds multiple sheets of paper consistently, constantly being jammed. Have to babysit the printer through large jobs and waste about as much papers as it ends up yielding. Stay away!

This printer has excellent quality, features and can do just about any task you send it. The stackable trays are great for different types of jobs. I have had the printer for 3 years and have not had to change the toner yet. I do use it for home business only, this printer is pretty heavy and takes up a lot of space for home use.
I trust HP quality and know this printer will outlive many similar models.
The printer driver settings are easy to use, but the menu options on the printer itself are hard to navigate and save.
If you do consider this printer, buy additional memory for it, because the 8MB internal memory is not enough for many jobs, and is quite slow. 64MB will be plenty for about 40 bucks more.
I cannot call myself a confirmed purchaser of this printer. However, I am quite well and truly a user of this printer. I actually found it in the hallway of an office building destined for the local landfill.... I rescued it, had it repaired, and outfitted it with the proper laser cartridge. Everyone on Earth should have the pleasure of owning one of these.... My humble opinion. Where jet printers are expensive (once you start spending money on cartrdges) and temperamental, this unit, when properly serviced, maintained, and connected to your computer is a dream. Cartrdges are only $30 and give you thousands of impressions. The front-loading feeder allows you to change your paper piece-by-piece as job requires. Printer prints evenly and flawlessly in 8.5" x 11", 8.5" x 14", and even... (!) 11" x 17" and 12" x 18", Which means you can print on large-size construction paper ..... I have developed an awesome technique where I print on acrylic-paint covered construction paper. The paint is dried, of course. It works.... ! The technique is stunning....
