Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Overall:The point of this device was to increase audio quality. That it did, at a decent price, with a nice build quality, in a highly portable manner.Pros:I can hear the soundstages in various songs. It's super clear. It sounds like vocalists are in the room with you.The device is really small and easily portable. The build quality seems excellent. The price isn't bad.Potential cons:The DAC seems to filter out certain background noises in the audio source (which some people might prefer). The device gets rather warm after only a few minutes of listening. I could still hold it in my lap comfortably enough but unless I need a leg warmer I probably wouldn't.There is no volume knob. This reduces the potential for mechanical failure but it also might get annoying.
Not a lot of reviews for this great product. So here's mine. I took a chance on purchasing this product based on a good review from an online audiophile magazine. I am really enjoying this product. It's highly portable and super convenient for my uses. Sound quality is very important to me and this product delivers. I have purchased a few portable DAC's before from Headroom and HRT. These DAC's are well designed and sound quality is good. To my ears the fidelity and musicality of the DACPORT is better. The sound comes close to my well engineered main rig DAC, Van Alstine Vision Dac, in my home system which cost a lot more. I am spending more time listening to music with other somewhat portable Virtue and Zen Triode Tube amps than my main rig. I use it with my Viao notebook to listen to my music files via JRiver18 and MOG music streaming. The only issue I have is with the 1/4" phono plug; I'd prefer mini phono jack to eliminate the need for the adapter. Not a lot of sources for 1/4 " to RCA. Other than that, this product is a real bargain for what you get.
IF you want a 24 bit DAC AND you can deal with using it via USB (not with an IPhone or IPad) and with its shape, you will be blown away by this product. I paired it with an Headstage arrow portable amp and I am a changed man. I highly recommend this product. Sound quality is amazing.
I get it for my friend as i find their is a special discount that days. It works quite well, just like the one I take from local shop but with much lower price.

I had this little DAC for over 2 years now. Should have written this review a long time ago but I guess it's better late than never! Anyway, with this DAC, it's very portable, neutral, great sound and it doesn't get as hot as you would think it would even though it's a class A. Highly recommend it!
