All Conceal Carry persons who travel to other states should really invest in this Traveler's Guide. The laws of each state change and this resource keeps up with these changes. It is most important that CCDW license holders understand what each state permits. The archaic laws of the state of Illinois for example need to be understood even if just passing through their utopia. The only stops I make there are for gas to get through to a reasonable state surrounding them and to be lawful I have to change the location of my weapon so that it is not accessible while making my way to somewhere else. This is something that needs understanding.

When we travel I keep the book handy and each time we stop for gas or something to eat, I check this book for each state I am passing through. It is most handy and absolutely a necessity to refresh my understanding of each state.

I highly recommend this handbook for any and all who travel and carry a weapon for the defense of the innocent. The threat of those who disregard the law and are willing to bring chaos and lawlessness needs to be met with honest and upright citizens in spite of the leaders they elect to represent them.

This is not my first Traveler's Guide and I gotta say it's the best! I drive out in the west, you know where people still carry handguns on their hips? Except California of course, they gave up their freedoms a long time ago. Anyway I feel so much better about travelling across states that aren't scared to exhibit the freedoms we fought so many wars for, well at least I did anyway. J. Scott Kappas, you deserve a vote of thanks for keeping the American People safer and legal with their weapons carry. Sometimes when I ride my Harley and I have my S & W .40 in my shoulder holster I feel like I am a deterrent in a small way, to crimes that could possibly be committed if I and my riding buddies hadn't been armed. I'm retired Army and I've been with weapons my whole life and I hope I never have to use my weapon in anger again, but I will be prepared and more knowledgeable thanks to this book. I travel in my motorhome all over the states and this is my weapons bible. Outstanding job of research!

This book gives a good overview of what traveler's with and without CCW permits need to know when traveling with thier firearms. It does not give detailed citations of each states statutes, but has a summary page for each state giving a high-level overview of the state laws most relevant to travelers. If you want to know the details of each states statutes, you still have to use the web to dig deeper. I found this handy when traveling, because I read it before my trip when I had time to do more detailed research on each state's web site, then took it with me and used the one page summaries to refresh my memory just before I entered a new state. It is very handy, but keep in mind that it is only one source that should be used along with others if you wand a deep understanding of your rights in each state.

Good guide if you carry a firearm with you while traveling. Amazing to realize how the states have bastardized the 2nd amendment. If there were the same amount of restrictions on the first amendment we would not be able to say boo in some states. Stay out of the north east with your firearms. And if you travel, you need a CCW from your home state.

Author does a great job of giving details. Shipper was fast and timely.

If you are a concealed carry permit holder or simply want to safely and legally transport a firearm outside of your home state, this little guide is an indispensable starting point for planning your trip. This book clearly and concisely lays out the relevant details of each state's laws regarding firearms. It is updated annually and getting each year's new edition is a very wise idea. As noted, this book is just a starting point.....not a definitive legal opinion.

I gave the book 5 stars because I received it in a prompt way. There is nothing necessarily stellar about the book; it is not an exciting novel, neither is it a gripping piece of history. It is just a straightforward presentation of the present laws regarding CCP. At that, as near as I can tell, it does a good job. In addition, my order was handled in a prompt and accurate way. What more can one ask?

The travlers guide to firearms laws is perfect. I wanted a concise, short, easy to follow guide so that I didn't have to read through a huge book, then extract the information that I was looking for. At a glance I know all I need to know about traveling through a particular state. I buy an updated copy every two years. I highly recommend this to anyone who travels with their firearms.

I had expected more text, and more information, than what was contained in th is thin, paperback
publication mailed out, apparently, by the author, a lself-described lawyer. Rather than
meat, tendons, ligaments and bond, there are skeletal descriptions that do not cover
the entire United States with all of its territories, commonwealths, etc.,
