Dare to Resist, by Laura Kaye is the first installment of The Wedding Dare Series. And, Wow! What a deliciously addictive novella it was! This was not my first time reading a book by Laura Kaye, so I knew going into this book that I was going to get a sexy and unforgettable reading escape!
Kady and Colton set the tone to this amazing new series that is sure to melt your heart … and your panties! LOL!!! What better way to start this amazing journey than with a ‘’Falling for your best friend’s sister’’ story. No matter how many times authors write about it, I’ll read it! Kady has been in love with her brother’s best friend since she can remember. Colton always knew how to get under her skin, but always kept her at a distance. When they come face-to-face to battle for a military security contract, sparks fly. How long can they resist the temptation?
Oh my Lord!!! This was one super steamy, fast-paced novella! Kady and Colton have an intense chemistry! My kindle was on FIREEEEE!!!! When I read a novella I never know what to expect. It’s very rare to find a novella that is going to make you feel a rainbow of emotions. This novella had it all!
Colton has always kept a distance from Kady because he was scared of being in a serious relationship. His parents’ marriage was a disaster and he did not want that for Kady. He wanted to give her all that she deserved. After spending a few days together, stuck in a hotel room, they realized that they had a few things that were left unsaid and once they give into their passion there is no way they can resist one another.
This book was a mix of funny, tender and steamy moments. I enjoyed it from beginning to end! I wanted more! I devoured it! I got to the end of the book so fast that I was making sure I did not skip any pages. Kady and Colton really were an awesome couple and I loved reading about them. I’m so happy that I will get to see them again in the other books of the series, since it’s because of them that the other couples will meet ;)
