This type of dusters is a must have for any household. specially if you are in a dusty area, above a garage, or at a first floor or house that street dust comes in just by leaving the windows open. Our place is a dust magnet and we are constantly cleaning the floors, walls, ans household furnitures and items. This duster works just like any other traditional feather duster It's perfect to clean on top of the items that have been sitting on the floor and hanged on the wall. The feathers are strong and do not shed. the handle could have been a bit longer but at the size that it comes it's super portable and easy to store anywhere. Once your cleaning is done just by shaking you can get most of the dust out of the duster. But it's easy to wash too. To wash it all I did was to submerge the head (the feathers) in the water and just moved the duster lightly and after I was done I just hanged it in the balcony and it was dried in less than 2 hrs.

I own and operate a cleaning business. I bought this duster based on the photo that shows the feathers to be of decent size. When I received it, it was smaller than the ones you can get at Walmart. I did not use it right away, because I was getting what I could out of the duster I was replacing. When I did finally use it, it fell apart in less than a week. At first, it lost a feather here and there. Then, several fell out at once. I checked tye hold on the feathers at the base and without any resistance, they started to ALL come out. I stopped pulling.

Due to the holidays and other unforseen incidents, I was unable to return this item. However, I thought I had at least 30days. Like Walmart gives you. So, I went back to Walmart and bought a much bigger and MUCH better feather duster for only $5.99. And, I'm out the $12.99 spent on this one. NOT HAPPY!!! P.S. I gave it one star, because I couldn't leave it blank.

The feathers seem a tad dried out, but so far it seems like it is assembled well. There IS this one silly feather is kinda waving around like a crazy person out of a car window (and the handle didn't come with that little string shown in the photo which I don't care about, but it's something I noticed). It doesn't affect the dusting I don't think, but it does give me a chuckle when I move it around.
Update: I’ve had it for 2 years and I still love it!

A must have for single guys, and college students! Fast easy (no-move-crap-around) dusting. Great on blinds, incredible on keyboards, nightstands, and electronics (TV's, routers, DVD players, etc), and fake plants (those are a b*tch - this makes them easy). The fastest dust - a 2-BDR apartment took me less than 10 minutes for all of that including the ceiling fans. With some stuff the trick is to spin it between your palms; kinda like starting a fire with a stick - sounds funny, but the soft feathers will clean dust out of the smallest corners. It really leaves an impressive clean with almost zero effort. ...You won't be impressed by what you receive, but using it will amaze you for s simple duster.

I used to own a cleaning business and the feather duster was probably my most important tool. I owned one and only one for years. I wish knew what brand it was. In recent years, I buy and then replace feather dusters from Wal-Mart every few months. The feathers fall out too easily. After seeing the great reviews for this duster online, I thought perhaps I'd found what I was looking for. However, I lost three feathers within the first month. Experience has taught me that the feathers start to fall out faster after the first several go. Oh well -- I guess this will take some research to find something that might last me a couple of years.

It's fine. The handle is pretty short - short enough that it's a bit awkward to knock the dust off of the feathers. The feathers are also very short, but they're long enough to dust small knick-knacks with. It doesn't work as well as other ostrich dusters I've had, but it does appear to be actual ostrich feathers, so I feel like I was sold what I was advertised.

She said she did not have much hope for it when I had told her that I ordered it, nor when it arrived and I presented her with the duster. She really likes it above all other options (rags and synthetic dusters). She suggests you spray the duster lightly with furniture polish, dust, then shake the duster gently outside, repeat... I never mind buying something that associates prefer to work with for it promotes content. Product holding up well after 2.5 months.
