I first fell in love with Rebecca Zanetti's books when I read the Sin Brothers series, and the Blood Brothers spinoff series has been another wonderful set of stories! Ryker and Heath have had their turn in the spotlight, and now Denver gets his chance.
Denver met Noni when he was on a case in Alaska. Despite his best intentions, he fell in love with her but he knew that his past would eventually catch up to him so he did what he thought was best: he walked away without saying goodbye in an attempt to keep her safe. Unfortunately he only ended up breaking both their hearts in their process, and his brothers worried about him when he fell into the bottle in an attempt to drown the heartache. Now he has to pull himself together though because Noni has just put them both in immediate danger by posting pictures of him all over the Internet in an attempt to track him down. She may still be harboring some serious anger toward him but she has a need for his help that pushes it to the side for a moment.
Noni has not gotten over the way Denver walked out on her, but when her foster sister Sharon's baby is kidnapped by her gang-banger poor excuse for a father after Sharon ODs, Noni knows her only hope of finding baby Talia alive is with Denver's assistance. She saw firsthand how he was able to accomplish feats others couldn't, but despite their time together she truly knows very little about him - as he intended. She is completely unprepared when he shows up in the middle of the night at the crappy motel she is staying in, but their rocky reunion has to take a backseat to flying bullets when the gang tracks her down as well. The action is non-stop from that point forward, but the hurt simmering under the surface won't wait to be addressed. Noni pushes him to the breaking point knowing that she hasn't seen his true depth of emotion, but the intensity she sees in him when he is at the brink of breaking both frightens and excites her. When she finally convinces him to tell her the truth of his childhood and his reality, she isn't sure how to process it all. She can't deny that the story rings with truth as he tells it, but it is all a bit much to take in- and oh wait, more bullets are flying!
The tension is high between trying to track down Talia before she disappears forever, the gang members hunting them down, and Madison and Cobb tightening the net as they search for Denver, his brothers and the Gray brothers. Family ties mean everything, and trying to find a way to keep all of Denver's family and Noni's family safe may mean the ultimate sacrifice before all is said and done because Madison is unnaturally fixated on bringing Denver back into the fold. As much as his heart yearns to keep Noni for his own and to be there for her and Talia when they get her back, he is hesitant to make promises he cannot keep so he has no choice but to enjoy the moments they do have now. He and Noni sizzle on the pages as they both melt your heart and break it a little too.
At the same time, the brothers are preparing for a final assault on Madison to hopefully end their time on the run and find a way to enjoy a somewhat normal future. Heath, Ryker and Denver have some touching moments as do as Denver and Jory as they try to figure out if they are in fact blood relations. I was glad to see that the final showdown was not a one-and-done moment so to speak because that would have been too easy after all they went through. Instead the conclusion to their lifelong battle was well written and was fitting for the journey taken to get there. I absolutely do not want to say goodbye to this series, but Twisted Truths was an amazing end to the series and I can only hope we may see the Jones and Gray brothers again in the future in some way!

Great conclusion!
I liked this book a lot! It was so nice to get Denver’s story and to finally get some resolution for the Blood Brothers series as well as the earlier Sin Brothers series. This is the third book in the Blood Brothers series which is a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series so I wouldn’t recommend reading this as a stand-alone if it can be avoided. I was hooked by this story very early on and was entertained until the story came to an end.Noni is desperate to find the infant that she is responsible for now that the baby’s mother has died. She knows that her old boyfriend Denver could help so she puts his photo all over the internet in hopes of finding him. She doesn’t realize that Denver is trying to stay hidden so putting his photo online may not be the best idea. They do end up working together to get the baby back from her biological father that has less than savory ideas for her welfare. Once the baby is safe, Denver and his brothers will have their own past to deal with.I liked Noni and Denver together. They had amazing chemistry together and I loved the fact that they were both very focused on doing whatever was necessary to keep the baby safe. We do learn a little more about Denver’s past and I loved that he was able to open up to Noni. It was great to see the brothers work together and I was thrilled to see them with the characters from the Sin Brothers series. There was plenty of action to keep things interesting and I thought that the book moved at a very nice pace.Karen White did an amazing job with the narration. She has been the voice of the series and I think that she has done a wonderful job with bringing this cast of characters to life. I think that she adds just the right amount of emotion to the more tender scenes and makes the action feel just a bit more exciting. I definitely believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of this story.I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a very well-done romantic suspense story with characters that were easy to fall for and enough action to keep the pages turning. I cannot wait to read more of this talented author’s work in the future.I received a review copy of this book from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and I purchased a copy of the audiobook.
