Keep Your Luggage Secure – Even in the Airport
Did you know you can lock your luggage while you’re traveling through the airport? While the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) electronically scans bags, sometimes they also need to physically inspect a piece of luggage.
In these cases, the TSA logo on special locks alerts inspectors that they can unlock the luggage without cutting the lock or damaging the bag. Travel Sentry Approved Locks are designed specifically to keep your belongings secure while still allowing the TSA to open your luggage without destroying the locks during their screenings.
The Solution for Travelers
Featuring easy-to-set, resettable three-dial combinations, Lewis N. Clark locks infuse multiple benefits with sleek, compact style. Their durable construction withstands the wear and tear of travel and they provide a variety of ways to secure your personal items. In addition to the airport, they can be used at the gym, school, water park, hostel, and more.
Give yourself the peace of mind of knowing that thieves cannot easily get into your belongings and that the TSA can open the lock without damaging your belongings if necessary.

They are the best I've found for this purpose.
HOWEVER: it is easy to mess up the locking mechanism if you accidently re-set the combo when you are using the lock to open it.
Pay close attention to what you are doing with the cable that has the red dot on it. You might unknowingly re-set the lock to a different combo. We had to cut one of the locks off of our luggage when my husband did this.
I have been traveling for about 5 weeks and the three locks that I purchased were working perfectly until today, on a trip where I had just taken two of them along. I was flying from Munich to Barcelona and was asked by security to open my carry on case, which was locked. I was able to unlock it, and lock one of the loops, but the other loop would not lock. When I arrived in Barcelona, got my luggage and went to the Tourist Office at the airport, I had to open my carry on as my hotel information was locked inside. Though I had the correct combination, the lock would not open. The Tourist Office then sent me to Customs, which directed me to another Terminal, where no one could help, and I finally returned to the original terminal and went to the Air Berlin Information Desk for help. He informed me that if I had known the lock was defective BEFORE I came through the arrivals gate, one of the personnel there could have opened it; but once through the arrivals gate, you can not go back. I explained my desperate need, as I had been running around for over an hour and did not even have the address of my guest house, as it was locked inside the case. The man was good enough to offer to cut the lock - which he did, surprisingly with an ordinary pair of scissors.
Now I am torn about using the remaining two locks, wondering if they will fail and again leave me running around strange airports for hours. . I left one lock behind in the Munich apartment where I am staying and am left with only one working lock - and the fear that the combination will fail again. I will have to buy another lock on the market here.
This is extremely disappointing and has colored my view of these locks - ordinary travel and after 5 weeks one suddenly doesn't work? I had read a review of someone who had this same experience, but not in the middle of a trip.
I am both disappointed in the failure of the lock and then concerned that an ordinary pair of scissors can cut through the wire loop.
I would appreciate hearing from the vendor about this.
UPDATE: 16 days later and on a Sunday, I'm getting ready to fly again on Monday. The second of the three locks has now failed. It won't lock on one side, and following the lead of the first failed lock, it will completely fail. So here I am on a Sunday and flying out in the morning and another failed locked. 67% failure rate and it looks like I'll have to replace all three before this trip is done.

Why? Mainly because they lock at *both* ends, meaning you can secure them in several different methods, depending on what you require at the time.
You can secure one end to the bag's handle and the other end through the zip-holes to secure them.
Alternatively, you can put one end around a post wherever you may be sitting, to secure the bag from being stolen.
Or again, you can use only one end, and keep the other free, should this be more beneficial.
I also have one on my bicycle handlebars to secure things to when needed. So really, being double -ended, they have many uses.
The locking mechanism is secure too, as it slides in rather than simply clicking in like most padlocks. This means it isn't easy for the casual stranger to fiddle with them, and makes them that bit more secure.
So overall, a definite winner.
Pour un sac de voyage, il permet de sécuriser le compartiment principal + la poche sur le côté. à la plage, je l'utilise pour sécurise ensemble les sacs à dos par exemple. I
