The best Ylang Ylang I've ever had!
It's time for LicoriceWhip to make a confession; I was raised by an EarthMama. A loving, crunchy, hippy. So by way of that I have a pretty good working knowledge of essential oils. I grew up smelling them waft through the warm summer air as my mother got out of her evening shower. My favorites were Neroli, Gardenia, Jasmine and always and forever, Ylang Ylang. I'm telling you this tale because you cannot smell the quality of this oil through Amazon (YET! I suspect that possibly, amidst their brain trust currently working on things like same-day drones that one day there will be an Amazon Sniff-It-Now. But until then I must establish my credibility) and you're relying on my credentials as an EO sommelier. Now that I hopefully have some humble clout with this preamble, let me explain to you why I am in love with this Ylang Ylang.This affordable oil comes in a generous quantity, so already I'm pleased by that. But the smell is just the most heavenly Ylang Ylang smell possibly ever. Ylang Ylang is a floral scent, similar to Gardenia flowers. In Indonesia, the flowers are spread on the beds of newlywed couples as it is believed to be an aphrodisiac. Other suggested uses are for anxiety and high blood pressure, which I can believe. One deep sniff of Woolzies Ylang Ylang and I'm transported to the carefree days of my youth. For mixologists, Ylang Ylang is considered a middle or base note. In fact several famous perfumes use Ylang Ylang as part of their formulas, including Calvin Klein Escape and Chanel No. 5. So for some individuals, this might be too floral for them. But it's simply a perfect, pure Ylang Ylang.After being so pleased with this oil, I researched the Woolzies company. They started out with wool dryer balls, and the essential oils can perfume the balls to make your clothes smell fresh without the chemicals of typical dryer sheets. What a fantastic idea! I'm going to get those next, and I'm very pleased with their oils. I've distilled this Ylang Ylang and it makes my whole house smell lovely. I've also put it in a carrier oil and used it as a perfume. I'm very excited to try their other fragrances, as the quality of this product just blew me away!I was provided this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I've been really happy with all of the Woolzies brand essential oils I've purchased. They're affordable and they smell like what they are supposed to smell like to me. I'm not an expert on essential oils but I don't buy into the hype that certain extremely expensive brands are superior to the less expensive ones-there is no regulation of essential oils, so whatever it says on the bottle-therapeutic grade, 100% pure, etc, you have to decide for yourself if you feel a product is worth purchasing. I have a very few of the super expensive elite brand oils and do not think they are any better than the cheaper ones. I've used these in a diffuser and mixed with carrier oils in preparations for bath and body, repelling insects, healing purposes, etc. and felt they were effective.

Ylang Ylanfg is an essential oil that I use for calming. I notice that if I wear it daily, my blood pressure remains lower. This is just a personal observation because I monitor all my supplements. It has a heavy floral scent when I first put it on. I was concerned about that because I can't tolerate the smell of heavily-scented items. But the scent subsides and to date has not given me any problems. It is something to take into consideration if you are wanting to use Ylang Ylang. Woolzies is a good grade of essential oils and I find it to be of high quality.

I use it in a diffuser during the night. If it also helps my blood pressure that is a big plus. I will definitely buy this brand from now on.

The price and quality varies so much and you are really just taking a risk even some of the most talked about brands have failed 3rd party testing on certain varieties. So I search and I test and my husband keeps asking me "why so many bottles?" And, "Maybe we should see someone about you having a problem". I just ignore him and continue my quest. I gave this 4 stars because this isn't the best ylang ylang I've used. I do actually like the fabulous frannie better. That doesn't mean it is better it was just that this one was slightly overwhelming but faded quickly.
