Late Call (Call #1) Kindle Edition
Seven years ago, they fell in love in Paris.
They walked away at the end of the summer, never imagining they’d meet again.
Now he’s her client.
We fell in love the way you jump from a cliff. Hard and fast with a reckless sense of abandon. The six weeks we spent together changed my life, but at seventeen, I was naive. I was a dreamer. A believer.
Now I’m twenty-four and cynical. I don’t believe in love. There’s no place for such emotions as a high class escort. The only things I’m allowed to feel are physical – and that’s why it’s so damn hard when the client of a last minute job turns out to be the man I left in France seven years ago. When he buys me for six weeks at triple my rate, my agent makes it clear I have no choice but to take the job despite our previous relationship. And my heart makes it very clear I have to stay firmly on top of the cliff this time.
Because for six weeks, I once again belong to Aaron Stone.

About the author
New York Times & USA Today bestselling author, Emma Hart, has written more than seventy romance novels in the last decade. She loves writing snarky, swoony romcoms with a side of chaos, occasionally venturing into romantic mysteries. Which are exactly the same as her romcoms, just with a dead body or two. That’s the reason for her questionable Internet history—at least that’s the story she’s sticking to.
She lives on a smallholding in North Wales with her husband and their two children, a clowder of very fluffy cats, one giant German Shepherd, and an undisclosed number of chickens and ducks. Don’t ask her to count them. She will not, thank you very much.
When she’s not writing or chasing ducks in her pyjamas, you can find her creating cosy gaming content for her Youtube channel and live streaming on Twitch.

There are a number of rules Dayton has made for herself to be a success as an escort. Use an alias; pay up front; never exceed the contracted time; never get involved emotionally with a client; generously tip everyone who helps you along the way; pay for discretion; indulge yourself on your own time. Up until she is unexpectedly hired by Aaron, Dayton has followed her own rules scrupulously. She is proud of the way she is able to support herself. She gets along well with her boss, who treats her fairly, negotiates her contracts and schedules her appointments. The boss takes a percentage of Dayton's earnings. Dayton pays the money to her willingly, always setting aside that fee in a separate pocket of her purse. Dayton is a savvy and conscientious businesswoman.
It would be great if Dayton were on a college plan to finish up her degree. She joined the escort service in college to bail herself out of a sinking financial ship and the new job took over her higher education. She does not seem to be anticipating a time when she no longer has this career. When people ask her about her job, she lies and says she works in web design. She could, she's capable and intelligent. But no one in her life is giving her this sensible advice. Her parents have passed away and an aunt, a former escort, lives alone.
As for love, Dayton realizes that no relationship can survive the career she has chosen. So she has remained unattached. The models she encounters throughout the book have used their beauty in a way that society finds acceptable, and can fall in love and build families. Dayton's career is an either/or situation and she has not considered giving it all up for the possibility of love because she's on her own and she can't.
The love interest in this story, Aaron, is less well-developed. He's strong, he's emotional, he's insensitive, he's romantic, he's disciplined, he's generous, he's possessive, he's open and direct, he's dissembling -- he can be whatever the plot requires. In the seven years since they first met, Aaron has held a torch for Dayton, and yet did not look her up or track her down when his business took him to Seattle. Really?
Look forward to Book 2 and seeing how this talented author resolves this book's cliffhanger.
Well let me tell you, this was surprising and delicious.
I ADORED everything about this book.
EVERY LITTLE THING.
It's sexy, fun, and sweet. Aaron is yummy!!!!!! He's alpha and takes what he wants. I wanted to lick him like a lollipop! I fell so in love! And Day the female lead was witty, snarky and strong. She kept me on the edge of my seat. I could not put this down.
I WANT.
I NEED.
I CRAVE MORE!!!!!!!
I love when a book surprises me. 5 perfect Aaron and Day stars!
Called in for a last minute escort job, Mia hurries to the hotel to meet her mystery man. When she arrives at the table, the man sitting there looks up and into her startled brown eyes. It is Aaron Stone, one of the most gorgeous men on earth and the man whom she fell in love with 7 years ago, before he broke her heart.
Aaron cannot believe it is her. She is still strikingly beautiful, but there is a raw sexuality that the young 17 year old Dayton hadn’t developed yet. Yes, Aaron knows her by her real name, not her working name. Awkward is an understatement, but the date continues as Dayton tries to remember to do her job and be his date for the evening. After all, that is all he is, a job. She will not fall in love again and she will not ever be crushed like she was 7 years ago. Her heart would never recover from another heartbreak like that.
But what if the past won’t die? Aaron is determined to get to know Dayton again and the feelings he had for her never disappeared. Just seeing her again, knowing she is in Seattle, has rekindled that spark that has been missing from his life all 7 long years. How can he convince her to give them a chance again and turn away from her profession? Can she really give everything up for love, when they have seven years of time to make up for and a secret that could end it all?
OMG, this was a fantastic book and I loved every second of it. There were a few tears and the sex was HOT, HOT, HOT! Luckily I bought Final Call as well, so I didn’t have to wait to find out what happens with Aaron and Dayton. 5 stars

Aaron and Dayton met in Paris, experienced a crazy summer of love, before going their separate ways. While Aaron carries on building the family empire, Dayton's life takes unexpected twists and she ends up being a high class call girl. Neither of them, though, have ever forgotten their time in Paris and the love that was born between them. When a chance meeting brings them face to face again, there's absolutely no denying that old feelings are still there, strong as ever, and that there just might be a chance to rekindle their passion for each other.
I loved that Dayton was a strong, independent woman, unashamed of the life she lived, but was also human, with fears and doubts. The chemistry between Dayton and Aaron was explosive, passionate and well written.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to read on as the story continued in book #2.
I highly recommend!
