Lost For You: A Rock Star Romance (Sixth Street Band Series Book 4) Kindle Edition
"Taryn was every song. And every lyric. Everything I'd ever wanted." —Chase Noble
At eighteen, I stood at the precipice of stardom. I had the record deal. And the tour to back it up.
But I succumbed to the pressure of that life.
The dark side.
I had to give it all up if I wanted to live.
And I did.
A trip to rehab, four years at Stanford, and I came back to Austin a changed man.
Clean and sober.
And ready to help my brother do the one thing I couldn’t.
Make it in the music industry.
That was ten years ago, and I never looked back.
Never crossed the line.
Any line.
And then I met her. Taryn Ayers.
Music manager behind the three biggest bands in the country.
She holds the key to my brother’s success in her hands.
Making her off limits. Untouchable.
But I've never been fond of rules. One taste of her, and I'm jonesing for more.
The woman is like a drug. Stronger than any I’ve ever taken.
And now I know the true meaning of addiction.
Because I can't get enough.
Will Taryn end up destroying my life for good?
Or could she be the one woman to do the impossible?
Save me from myself.

Tarryn loves so unconditionally and chase finds his hope and reason ❤️ I was hooked from start to finish
This series has just got better and better with each book ! I’m looking forward to reading Logan’s story next !!
Taryn Ayers is a famous music manager who has dealt with severe trauma in the past.
Chase Noble had a past too, not one he is proud of either, he is still in the music business but only to help his brother. When Taryn and Chase meet they feel an attraction but both aren't prepared for a long term relationship.
Throw in some addiction issues where Chase tries to help and some major league misunderstandings and you have a tipsy turvy drama as well as a hot romance.
I found the characters all likeable even though at times I wanted to smack some of them to wake them up, probably a sign of being invested in the story! Told from both Taryn and Chase's points of view we get an insight into their thoughts and reasons for their actions.
There are some extremely emotional parts to this story that are superbly written, it is a fast paced story with plenty of everything for everyone! I now need to read the first books in the series seeing as this is so good!
Narration has been excellent.
Love the story line with this book Jayne. Thank you so much for this story. It is one that you can easily lose yourself in.
I received this book for free as an ARC
On the night the others who were on the bus when this tragedy occurred Taryn was at home with her musician boyfriend, Beckett, and their lives feel apart. As time went on Chase found his way into Taryn’s now turmoil life without either of them knowing of the other’s secrets which played heavily into the path they were heading down. Life took many turns and when least expected love once again may be found.
This book was about not forgetting and trying to forge ahead and live the life you have. It also touched on addictions and how no one is ever “cured” and how important it is to always be vigilant.
Taryn is a music manager of three of the biggest bands in the country. Chase now own’s property and bar’s but when he was a teenager he was about to hit it bit, he had a record deal, a tour and then his life took a turn for the worst.
There is a few twists and turns in this book that was very surprising. I enjoyed the read but feel I needed to read the previous books in the series to totally understand all the friendships.
One of the things I love most about reading and reviewing books are the never before read authors you discover. This is my first story by Jayne Frost and I really enjoyed it. I haven’t had the privilege of reading the other books in the Sixth Street Bands series as of yet, but rest assured I will correct that in the very near future. When you discover new authors it can sometimes be hit or miss, but not in this case. Jayne Frost can seriously write, with her carefully crafted plot lines and well developed characters, she sucked me in.
Our hero Chase, is dark, broken and real. He’s been to hell and back, but lives to tell his story, which is no easy feat by any means. He’s fragile, but then I felt him to be so strong on the other hand and when you’ve moved to the dark side it is so hard to come out the other end and finally find the light at the end of a dark tunnel.
“Pain had been my constant companion for five years. An unwelcome guest. And I didn’t feel it as acutely when I was with Chase. But I couldn’t tell him that. That probably crossed some kind of friendship boundary.”
Taryn is strong, so strong. I can’t even imagine going through what this woman has gone through and come out the other side unscathed; the strength it must take to get through your worst nightmare and have the ability to pick yourself up and carry on is simply unfathomable to me.
Lost for You is, after all said and done, a rockstar romance and we all know rockstars live by the creed of sex, drugs and rock n roll. The struggles with drugs and addiction felt so real, I read it feeling waves of depression, but then enlightenment as well, a real roller coaster. Addiction is a really dark cloud that hangs over the head of many a rockstar, especially so during the prime of their careers. This story was raw, gritty, real and I felt every emotion.
“I brushed a lock of hair out of his eyes, and when he smiled, I knew – he was going to kill me. Break my heart and leave it in a million pieces when this all faded away.”
It was not all doom and gloom, though I do love my emotional reads, so sometimes I can focus on that aspect. However, there were also hot, sexy and steamy scenes to help balance out the emotion, which had me hoping this couple would rise above the hurt and pain of their past and find their HEA.
I really enjoyed this story and it kept me invested from the start as I absorbed all the pain, heartbreak, emotion and love. If you adore your angsty, friends-to-lovers rockstar romances then I suggest you check this one out, you won’t be sorry.

When I listened to Missing From Me by Jayne Frost I knew I was on to something. With Lost For You this author has established herself as an auto-read for me. Her storytelling has an easy, effortless flow, an easy rhythm that is so super-easy to get into.
I think the allure of Rockstar Romances, at least to me, is that the demigods we think they are, are being portrayed in an entirely human light. They have their fears and sorrows when you strip away their fame. It's just that more people are watching their struggles. Anyhoo, I digress.
Chase is the brother of a rockstar. He had his chance at fame and the limelight but found, with the way he is wired, he isn't built for the business. He loves music and his talent even exceeds his little brother's but his drug abuse in those earlier years is still making sure that his demons keep him on his toes. He finds it easier to deal with his addiction when he stays out of the spotlight. When he meets Tarryn Ayers, one of the most successful managers in the business, he doesn't know how much of a challenge his demons will put him up to.
Tarryn Ayers has her own monsters to battle. Two of her childhood friends and members of one of the most successful bands in the country died in an accident and left her and her best friend Tori Grayson reeling for years to come. Add to that her ex, whose sexual escapades make headlines on a regular basis and she's just about had enough. When Chase invites her to his bar for a drink she has every intention to keep it casual, Beckett's betrayal still hurts too much.
Tarryn is a dichotomoy of strong and vulnerable - she's a tough business woman, proud and strong, but filled with so much sorrow. When her veneer slips we see how deeply the grief still controls many of her actions. You can't help but feel compassion and admiration for Tarryn.
From Chase's charming, straight forward and sweet demeanor you wouldn't guess at the struggles he is dealing with every single day. He hides it really well but when things get a little too overwhelming for this tough business man and he's exposed to the one temptation that he knows he has to fight he's helpless. I found myself shouting "no" and don't do it" a couple of times. My heart broke for Chase who'd gone so long without drugs and when he clawed his way back to the light I felt nothing but pride for him.
From the moment they meet the connection between Tarryn and Chase is palpable. There is always a sense of dread hanging over them and it hurts when they fall apart. But fear not, this is romance so we get a really sweet Happily Ever After. Chase's making amends, giving Tarryn what she needed made me love him even more.
I loved that Jayne Frost didn't shy away from showing her readers the ugly side of drug usage - she still does it in taste and gently and not for shock value.
Jayne Frost is becoming a solid bet on 4-5 star books so I'll keep putting my money on her. Next up is Logan, who I've had very ambivalent feelings toward. This is the second time he rubbed me the wrong way yet came through in the end so I am excited to see what he's really like.

I have to say I very much enjoyed this book. This book is very well written and I just couldn't put the book down.
I don't usually read "rockstar " romance but I very much enjoyed this book and added the other books on my wishlist because I do want to read more.
I am giving this 5 out of 5

Let's get a few things out of the way. This book is part of a series and it can be read as a standalone. However, I will admit that in the beginning, there were a few names thrown out there and I felt like there was something I was missing. I'm only saying this because in the end, it didn't matter and I didn't have any lingering questions. Just the desire to go back and read the other books. So if you get that feeling in the beginning, I urge you to keep going or you'll miss out on a great story.
Lost For You tackles so relatable issues such as drug addition and the destruction that death leaves behind. Every single person will be able to relate to either Chase, Taryn or both. Everyone has their own demons to face. It's how you face it that matters and in this book it gets ugly before it gets beautiful.
"You're the smooth surface to all my jagged edges."
From the moment Chase locked eyes on Taryn, she stole his heart, he just didn't realize that's what it was. They have this undenying connection that renders it impossible to stay away from each other. However, they each have their own issues that continues to draw them apart yet always back to one another.
Chase might be one of my new favorite musician/business man combo. Actually, I think he might be the only one with that combo so he fully has my heart in the category. Watching his struggle and then the realization of his love for Taryn and the battle that comes with that was both heartbreaking and uplifting.
My job takes me to Austin, TX several times a year so I loved some of the local flair thrown into the book since it was set there. I'm like Taryn and would react the exact same way to Franklin's. It's that good!
Overall, I really enjoyed Lost For You. It's angsty, sad and heartbreaking but it's inspiring and uplifting as well. If you are looking for a new to you author to take a chance on, then this book and Frost is right where you need to go. Don't miss out!

Chase Noble owned bars and buildings and land development companies, he was successful in every sense of the word. Not many people knew about him or his affiliation with the lead guitarist of the band Caged. He was supposed to be like an undercover CEO who was trying to help his bandmate's little sister with her juvenile addiction and rehab.
But when Chase met Taryn, he became addicted himself, and he didn't know how to control his fascination with her. He'd love to get her under the sheets, but what if she discovered the skeletons hiding in his closet instead?
If there's one thing I really loved about romance stories, that is complications. Yes, I love getting into complex setups, complicated relationships and characters tangled in intricate, convoluted drama. The more nerve-wracking the story, the better. And this book definitely delivered. Lost For You by Jayne Frost got me fixated with its storyline right from the start.
I have read the first book in this series (Gone For You - the Sixth Street Bands series) and I was floored. When I learned about the release of book 4, I prepared myself for an onslaught of emotions. I knew I had to read this pronto, because I couldn't get enough of Caged. The first few pages really got me hooked, Taryn and Chase's respective narrations were intense and before long, I was already immersed in the story and gobbled it all up, hook line and sinker.
Chase Noble lives up to his name, being noble and being a real knight in shining armor. I love his dedication to help a bandmate's heavily troubled sister. I love how he doesn't get things half done and he's the all-around guy you would really root for, even with his drug addiction issue. Staying sober and in love however, definitely suited him. And Taryn, oh I love how she behaves when she's around Chase. I love how broken yet composed she is when with her best friends, and how fierce she is when dealing with her clients. talents and even exes. The other characters were equally a pleasure to read, even Beckett Brennin, the kind of ex that you'd love to hate and hate to love.
Overall, Jayne Frost's latest offering got me all hot and bothered, enthralled and delighted. This series is totally worth waiting for. Rockstar romances will always have a special place in my heart, and this book gets that part. This book is delicious, and I wouldn't blame you if you'd totally get lost in it.
