Product Description
This Muscle Carts garden wagon has a 400 lb. load capacity, is made of steel, and comes with folding, removable sides for flatbed use. The utility wagon is designed for transporting up to 400 lb. of supplies, equipment, or materials. The crate's steel mesh construction provides increased rust resistance over iron, and has a powder-coated finish for durability. To facilitate loading and unloading of heavy items from the wagon, the sides of the crate fold down, and can be removed entirely for flatbed wagon applications, such as transporting oversized articles. The wagon comes with a steel handle with a D-style grip, and four 10" pneumatic rubber tires to resist abrasion and absorb shock while rolling on assorted indoor and outdoor terrain. The wagon is 21-3/4 x 34 x 18 inches (H x L x W). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.) With the sides removed, the utility wagon's height is 13-1/2". This wagon requires some assembly (tools sold separately), and it is suitable for material handling applications in gardens, warehouses, construction sites, and stores, among others. Utility wagons, also known as service carts, are used for securely storing, organizing, and transporting equipment, supplies, refuse, and materials. They are suitable for use in industrial, manufacturing, and maintenance applications, as well as in the home. Sandusky Lee manufactures steel storage products for office, commercial, industrial, and educational applications.

Although the cart has those dreaded three words, “Some assembly required”, it was not nearly as bad as I expected. It took less than 20 minutes to unpack and complete the assembly. You will need a couple of adjustable wrenches. But there are very few bolts to be tightened. The wheels and sides are held on by cotter pins.
The construction/design is well thought out. The steel frame is solid and coated with a nice paint job. I am sure that with use it will suffer some dents and scratches, but it looks great out of the box.
The pneumatic rubber tires are large and make for easy traveling in the garage and the yard.
The handle has a nice rubber grip making it is easy on the hands to pull.
The sides can be lowered or completely removed for handling over-sized items. Removal/reattachment is quick and easy.
It will hold up to 400 pounds, so it should handle your tough jobs.
The price was very attractive, much less than some very similar wagons/carts.
The build quality is adequate, and seems to be fairly sturdy. As some reviews mention, the wire mesh that covers the bottom and sides is a bit flimsy. I would have to agree, and I think it could be easily bent or damaged with enough weight. I honestly don't think it could withstand 400 lbs, like they claim, but I haven't tested it either...so who knows! But, it definitely will hold up through most regular work it will be doing. It won't be until I help with loading a bunch of pond rocks into it this spring, that I will know if it is a disaster!
One of the photos on the product page shows the sides hanging down, to be able to use it with only the flat bed, without taking the sides off. This photo is very misleading, as it looks like the sides can fall all the way down, and the wheels will not interfere. This is not the case. The sides will rub against the wheels, so it is not practical to keep the sides attached while not being used. It is super simple to detach/reattach them, so it is no big deal to me. But, the photo is quite misleading.
Another common review issue I read was about the smell coming from the box/tires. Yes, there is a smell, however mine was not overpowering like others have claimed. Honestly, it smells like tires. It is no different than any of the other tires I have found at hardware stores, so it doesn't bother me. But, there is a smell, and it will eventually go away.
Ultimately, for the price, I think this utility cart was a great investment. It will be much easier to use than my wheelbarrow, and I like the fact that you can take off the sides to have a flat surface. Works for me!
