When her fiancé is killed in an accident her life becomes dark until Chase comes to her sleepy little town to be with his brother, Chase unbeknownst to him purchases a second hand phone but no one reset it so all Sierras voicemails to her dead fiancé are still there Chase listens to a couple before he meets her and doesn’t put it together until it’s to late and it ends their relationship. Both are miserable and stubborn but Chase manages to win her back.

Loved every heart felt, sexy moment

I enjoyed this journey to love. Sierra had love until one day it was taken away and left her lost in her grief. She struggled to find a way out of the darkness. As she attempts to do "normal" things with her friends, she runs into Chase at the local bar. Chase is dealing with his own issues as he works to build a relationship with his half-brother. He meets Sierra at the bar and ends up rescuing her. He is captivated by this amazing woman. At the same time, he has a loaner phone with voice mails no one deleted that have grabbed his heart as he experiences someone's intense love that was shattered by death. Sierra is stunned at her reaction to Chase. She finds him easy to be around and just fun while also being drop dead sexy. Each of them have demons to overcome in allowing love into their lives. This is a wonderful journey of finding your way back to yourself as you cope with loss. Of course, there are a few twists along the way that makes them struggle with trusting each other. I loved their easy banter and love of books, it was like they were kindred spirits. I got caught up in their journey and loved every heart felt, sexy moment. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful Story

I loved Sierra and Chase's story. One Call Away is a story that broke my heart one minute and made it swell with joy in the next. It was a story about loss, heartache, forgiveness and healing. About picking up the pieces and finding oneself again. I loved reading about how Sierra and Chase's hardships helped them grew together and heal.
Sierra suffered a great loss that left her heartbroken and numb. She shuts down and closes off her heart. Putting up a facade whenever someone's around.
Chase has had a rough past. He's never felt loved or had that feeling of belonging. Chase is continually moving from place to place never staying long enough in one to let anyone breakdown the barriers he built around his heart.
What seems best described as fate, has Chase and Sierra meeting. Two beautifully broken people unknowingly searching for the same thing... to feel whole again.

Thrilled to read another Emily Goodwin book, I was again not left disappointed. To me the best way to explain this book is its about second chances.

Sierra's life is complete flipped upside down after a tragic event left her breathing but not living. Living his life as the outsider and also the link that put the kink into a family unit, Chase finds himself back in a town that he has never been welcome in, only to find a voice that may change is future forever.

This story had me hooked from the beginning. I struggled to put it down as I was wanting more all the time. Great supporting characters with a little intrigue, I secretly hope there will be a spin off. Applause to you Emily.

As the first book that I've read by this author, I was completely blown away by this author's flawless writing and compelling storyline. This heartbreaking and endearing romance had truly taken me by surprise. Nothing could prepare me for the roller coaster of emotions that this story would ignite. Honestly I cannot begin to describe how much I enjoyed reading this book. One Call Away is more than I would've expected from a second chance romance. It has so much heart and depth that I could've imagined. Its heartfelt message and relatable storyline made it even more profound than any story I've read before.
Chase and Sierra's journey had me captivated from the first page to the last. My heart truly went out for these characters that I couldn't help in feeling so immersed in their world. I also found the dynamic and chemistry between these characters so refreshing. Not mention the sexual tension between these two had me glued to each page. Furthermore, let me start of by saying that Chase Henson has become my new book boyfriend! Unlike the typical alpha males that you would typically see in this genre, Chase was such a breath of fresh air. He's caring, doting, funny and sexy as hell. He's certainly not arrogant or dominating like the typical alpha male. He's everything that you want in a guy and yet so much more. Then there's Sierra whose genuineness and quirky personality made her such a lovable heroine. But what I really loved about these characters was there connection. Even though there were moments of struggle and tragedy between these characters, I loved seeing how they handled the challenges and issues that would arise in their relationship. These characters and the town of Summer Hill had stolen my heart from the very beginning. Overall, One Call Away is a highly entertaining love story that tug on your heartstrings and have you begging for more of this incredible story. It's definite must read that you don't want to miss!

What a great story about loss and love. Could not put this book down!

The story of Chase Henson and Sierra Belmont will give you all the feels! Angst, love, heart break, grief, sadness, happiness along with a touch of mystery and drama, will keep you turning the pages to see what happens to Chase and Sierra.

The small town of Summer Hill has all the women running around and dishing up gossip, mostly about Chase and how bad is for the town and Sierra. Can Sierra ignore those rumors, or will they break her down? Will Chase stay in town longer enough to fight through these rumors or will he hit the road once again?

The only part I didn’t enjoy was Lisa. Man, can that girl be a brat. Can she not be happy for Chase and Sierra? I kept wanting for her to make a move on Chase since she was clearly not happy for Sierra.
