Sounds good and works well for what I need.
I’m not sure who’s trying to tune their guitar down a full octave…? Get a bass VI.
I love this pedal so much I took my other ESP that was set up for drop C tuning, tuned it to drop D , set the dial to number 2 and turn it on, perfect drop C.
Conclusion: to closer you are tuned to E the more tension the strings have, they are not loose , not buzzing, not pitchy. This pedal is the solution when you want to start dropping down to C , B tuning.
1) When you drop it more than 5 steps you can perhaps start to tell its a drop pedal, but honestly it doesn't sound bad and it's not a problem.
2) Practising at low volumes doesn't work so well, as you can then hear the dry signal from the strings directly. This is unavoidable anyway. Solution: Put on headphones or crank it up!
I love this thing. Since I got this pedal my secondary guitar with heavy gauge strings and drop tuning has been collecting dust. Now I just use my ibanez with super light gauge strings (in standard tuning) and playing any kind of super low dropped metal is no problem at all!
I got the idea to use this Digitech drop tuner with Rocksmith from one of the Rocksmith streamers (perhaps Chainbrain?), so thanks for that. Works flawlessly for me. Maybe some slight manual fine tuning is required depending on how your bass’s intonation is set up or if your strings are new.
You can plug your guitar directly into this pedal and then plug your pedal into your PC using the Rocksmith cable. No Amp or audio interface required.
