She can sell the farm, but that would mean the loss of jobs and she's has started to really love farm life since visiting a few times and seems to want to stay. When she finds a pumpkin beauty product on the farm they search for the recipe! Will she maybe be able to turn the farm into a spa?
All throughout the story there is mild romance and some sweet scenes with a slow and steady love story. There are also many lol surprise moments and Jessy Schram is great at physical comedy. When she was trying to get up on the horse I was laughing so much!
What I noticed throughout was how heartfelt the acting was and how much I enjoyed watching this and will watch it again and again each year. Brett (Jesse Hutch) seems more of a strong silent type but even he gets himself into trouble and boy is Jen Stone upset.
Can the pumpkin farm be saved and can Jen recover her investment in the property. She's a small woman but she has a big heart and is really strong and determined!
This ends well and there is even some country music and some line dancing to be had. Everyone in this movie just seemed to be having a lot of fun!
~The Rebecca Review
This movie has a lot of the typical Hallmark touchpoints. There is the rich girl who loses everything ends up in a country situation as a fish out of water. There is the good-looking farm guy who clashes with her at first but eventually warms. There is the odd family situation where the mother has passed away and there is a kid who is being cared for by her father and aunt. There is the side story of the awkward brother who likes someone in town. There is a twist about something unique on the farm that ends up being a money-maker although what it is surprises a bit because there is a second possible candidate that doesn't lead anywhere.
This is a fairly well-done combination of many old themes that comes off well. Most of the characters are likable if not believable. The main character comes across as really shallow and not likable at first but then has a very dramatic change which is hard to believe and becomes quite likable and decent. The two main characters have decent chemistry as a couple. Overall, this is a very watchable film. It leaves you with a good feeling. If you like Hallmark movies, this one is decent. There are not as many fall-themed Hallmark movies as there are for Christmas, so this is a nice addition to the collection.
