Logitech has a reputation for durability, and this mouse is no exception. The build quality is excellent, ensuring that it can withstand the rigors of gaming and last for years.
In summary, the Logitech G403 Prodigy RGB Gaming Mouse is a versatile and powerful gaming tool. Whether you're a competitive esports player or a casual gamer, the combination of customizable lighting, programmable buttons, and high-performance features makes this mouse a fantastic addition to your gaming setup.
I've tried quite a few mice in the past year ever since my switch to PC gaming, and of course have found some I like, some I don't like and some I'd still recommend despite not liking. I've arrived at this mouse being the best overall mouse there is from trying a Mionix Castor, Corsair Sabre, Razer Deathadder Chroma, Logitech G Pro, Logitech G502, and the Logitech G303.
The Mionix Castor probably has my favorite materials in terms of comfort, but the problem was the thumb grip was really annoying to me, and for some reason as I've heard other people say, something about the design about the Mionix Mice makes it hard to lift and keep in your hand, as I've dropped it quite a few times when trying to lift it. The Corsair Sabre I had the same issue, but worse and it didn't really feel comfortable in hand, and it had no comfort grooves in the buttons. The Razer Deathadder I just couldn't aim well with or hold right due to the weird design and I wasn't a fan of the materials either, and only really had a comfort groove in the right click, and hardly one if there was one in the left button. Staying on axis in shooters while turning and aiming was really difficult, though that could just be my own personal failure to adapt to it, but i've heard many others mention that problem too. The g502 while I can aim with it and have no problems, just wasn't comfortable and did alot of things right and wrong. It had a Mionix Castor like comfort groove in the left button, but none on the right. And it had a rubberized grip like the Castor's thumb grip on the right side with a mix of whatever grips the Deathadder used. The thumb side also had the sniper button which I'm not sure what it really did, but was place horribly where my thumb would always hit it. It's still an alright mouse with nice features, and playing with weights there is a difference even very slightly, but you can still definitely play shooters with the weights in, but it's better to leave them out. The G303 I didn't like enough mainly because the rounded sides at the back where the leds are really dig into your thumb and feel to bulky, and the side buttons were too small, but overall the rest of the mouse is really good and I'd recommend it The G Pro is a great mouse with no issues other than the left and right sides being rounded and not flat, but not nearly as irritating as the G303's.
But as for the G403? What makes this the best overall mouse there is of course the shape, comfort, materials and sensor. To get it out of the way, the g403 uses the Pixart 3366 sensor, which as far as I know, has no issues and tracks well and is smooth and fluid and from playing with it it holds true. As for the materials as far as I know, it uses smooth plastic which is really nice to the touch, but not as good as with the rubberized sides that are actually really smooth and not bumpy or feel dried out like the Castor's thumb grip. Alot of people say it has a shape of the Razer Deathadder, but I can only see a little bit of where they get that from. Although it does feel like this is what the Deathadder should've been. There are two good comfort grooves in the buttons, with the right button having some what of a better comfort groove, but the left button also has a pretty good one.The buttons all feel nice and responsive with no misclicks, scroll wheel does not rattle and has nice but somewhat faint steps, but they are there, although I wish the side buttons weren't rounded but flat like on the G502 or Corsair Sabre.
I get no strain or discomfort after using this mouse in long periods and I always feel comfortable and relaxed on it, it glides well and nice, I can aim well in shooters with it and stay on axis. I love the sleek look of the mouse, using Logitech's new and improved logo, and the nice led in the scrollwheel. I don't use the weight as it just doesn't really seem to make a difference for me, but it's nice that it's there for those who want it.
Easily this is the most comfortable I've ever been with a mouse and I've never felt like this so fast with any of the other mice before deciding whether or not I really liked them or not, and I highly recommend it for shooters and most games for regular use other than of course Mobas and MMOs. I especially recommend this if you are a palm grip user.
Finally, Logitech has now set a high standard bar and benchmark for how good a mouse should be just like how Phanteks set a high benchmark for PC cases in terms of flexibility, quality, and functionality. Raising it and topping it will be difficult.

Feels like the perfect mouse for gaming. I use it for competitive gaming and my god it just performs all the time. I have it set to 400 dpi on one profile as the profile selection button is a little too sensitive when you’re having to lift off to move and aim.
Strongly recommend this mouse, it’s really really good and well priced. The side buttons are big bulky and easy to press which is another bonus.
- The size of the mouse is a bit at the larger side and is well suited for medium to large hands with palm grip but should work well for fingertip and claw grips as well.
- It has the best sensor on the market which provides great tracking for them headshots and does not cause any problems when making large flicks. As for the DPI, the software allows changing it to 12000 but I always use 800 DPI.
- Weighing in at 87g the mouse feels very light and allows for comfortable long gaming sessions. It comes with an additional weight but I prefer not to use it.
- The LED is RGB and the color can be changed through the Logitech Gaming software. The buttons are programmable too.
Cons:
- The wheel works nice and smooth however the click requires a bit of extra force compared to other mice I have used which is a bit annoying.
- Without the weight the mouse feels very off balance. It weighs more towards the front which is felt every time you pick up the mouse.
- I like having a thumb rest personally similar to G502 but this mouse does not have that.
- The back button is a bit too large and can at times cause accidental clicks.
