As a side note, there are some zip ties with "twist off" ties, that once you zip up the connection, you turn the excess cable and it separates. This product does not have the feature so you'll need to have scissors around. I've wondered if there is a strength decrease associated with adding that feature so I'm happy with using the non-twist off type and having to manually cut off the excess.
As a result of my cable tieing hobby when I needed to secure surface run ethernet cabling I knew there was only one answer.
Cable ties!
When I started searching for my solution I first came upon the surface mount cable tie anchors also sold on Amazon and figured these would work well together.
When I saw they were often sold together I knew I had found the right cure for what ailed me.
These cable ties arrived in a small plastic bag. While I didn't count them to ensure I had received single one of my valued cable ties I felt confident that the number would suffice.
I cautiously, carefully, opened the plastic bag by biting a corner off and sprinkled out a few samples to test for quality.
The material wasn't so stiff and brittle that I feared they would break when tightened.
The material wasn't so soft that I feared I would rip them in half.
As for stay cinchability? Well, I could only guess.
I decided to spend one of my cable ties on a practical test. I affixed the anchor to the wall and placed one of these cable ties through the anchor...
Breath baited I exhaled... then I cinched it. I cinched that cable good!
I cinched the hell outta that darn cable!
The cable tie did well. Once cinched, it stayed cinched.
It didn't break. It didn't fail.
I am pleased with these cable ties.
They sure did tie some cables!
I don't know how to qualify how well these stack up against other but I never had a problem with a zip tie holding so that's good I guess? I'm not too picky so I didn't actually count out 100 zip ties, I just trust that C2G wouldn't short me - they've always been reliable.
Today I have no use for the remaining 80 or so zip ties, but what I can tell you is that they make for awesome homeless people jewelry and restraints for 100 of the most disorderly people around you so why WOULDN'T you want these awesome zip ties?! Don't be the person that says "well I could have had some..." when someone cries out "QUICK! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DOES ANYONE HAVE 100 ZIP TIES WE CAN USE FOR __________?!"
Oh yeah, they make a cool clicking noise when you secure them so thats cool I guess? Ok, I'm done now, go buy these!
