Wonderful multi purpose cheescake knife set
We are always hosting the family bbq's and all the holidays at our house. These knives are made to cut and slice cheese and dessert. I get embarrassed when we go to slice into dessert or cheese and we don't have the right utensil and end up using a butter knife. The solid knife is designed to cut hard cheeses like block cheeses and the perforated knife is made to cut soft cheeses such as cheesecake as well as other desserts. They measure 10.43" x 1.77" x 0.59" They are recommended to be hand washed only. These would make a great gift. We love cheesecake so the cheesecake knife will get a lot of use. It can be used for pies etc. These are extremely sturdy knives and have a great grip. I cant wait until we have another family get together. So I can show our guests that the butter knives stay in the drawer this time. These are great quality knives that seem very durable. These may be a bit too large for some people to really enjoy them. I love the size of these and think it would be great if they had some sort of blade protector that could cover them so that when you reach into a messy kitchen drawer you wont cut yourself. Otherwise I do think these are great and would generally encourage my family to purchase these as they work great.

The knives are a gift and hence, I have yet to see how they actually perform; however, I did look at them and checked their bevel - it seems in tolerance and they do have an initial edge to them. Time will tell whether-or-not they will hold this edge - I do not see any reason that they will not since their primary defined purpose if for cakes and cheese cakes - not really hard material.

The shape of the knives is great for cheesecakes, allowing you to cut from edge to center and not having to scrape the edges of the spring form. Again, these have not yet been tried since they are a gift.

They seem pretty sturdy and haven't shown any sign of rust/corrosion, but they are BIG (about 10' long).. Note that these are NOT cheese knives or butter knives, they are cheeseCAKE knives (which is apparently a thing?). They are both about the size of a large chef's knife. It even says CheeseCAKE knife set on the box so I don't know why they are listed on Amazon with cheese knives in the title. My own fault for not reading further into the listing.
