This little case is almost perfect! The large flap fold out for creating washes does not have a stabilizer when open so it tilts which makes it a bit awkward and more so I should think for plein air artists.

This tin is HUGE!! And amazing. If you like to travel with a wide range of colors then yes, it’s great for travel. Otherwise, I’m not kidding when I say it’s huge. Material is great, I ordered the 48 clear half pans and they fit perfectly. They don’t slide at all.

This tin has a defective finish. The enamel looks like it almost has a pattern or design- obviously it's a second or defective one. I have several palettes by Meeden which I really love and use daily- and know the enamel on the outside should be glossy and unmarked. I opted to keep this because I'm in desperate need of a palette right now as I have too many loose half pans of paint. But otherwise I would have returned it. Dissapointed.
