I bought all three colors. Red, gold, and blue. The only thing not represented well was the color of the blue one. The photo depicts a powder blue color when in fact it is dark blue. The red is true and the gold looks elegant. I thought it didn't work when I first got it but it was a matter of holding the button down several seconds rather than a quick punch of the button. If you want it to come on at it's brightest level just hold the button down several seconds with it on bright and it will turn off while on bright. Then when you go to turn it back on it will come on again on bright mode simply by holding the button in several seconds once again. You get used to this very quickly and it is no problem at all. A lot of these tiny lights don't have the button to turn the light on with. Instead you twist the head of the thing to turn it on. I don't like those. I love the button which is right where your thumb is. Perfect.

I like good flashlights. I work at night as a cop and use a flashlight on almost every call for service and every traffic stop. This little light is now my go to light for 90% of everything I do. If you plan on using it for any duty type of work; get a few quality button top 10440 rechargeable batteries and a good charger for those batteries. If you have no idea what a 10440 battery is, do your research and read some reviews of good quality brands to choose from. Regular AAA batteries work just fine, but a button top 10440 battery will push over twice the power which in turn makes about twice the amount of light. Bottom line: it's a damn good light, very bright, great beam color, pattern, and great fit and finish. You can't go wrong with it!

nice little light, beam is cool white but ok. I tried some of my UFire 10440 cells Ive had for a couple years , but have NOT been used recently. I placed a couple in the charger, then tried one when ready in the ULTRA TAC K18. It did NOT work.. I tried another 10440 and nothing . Then I placed a new alkaline cell and the lights works. It definitely does not get to 360 lumens as I wanted it when I placed the order here. will probably pick up a few NEW 10440s here Trustfire (blue) or Ultrafire(grey) that's what Ive had for years. tempted to try the others

I love this light. Use a 10440 to get the full brightness. I've been using it for a week now and I haven't found a single flaw in it. It's just crazy bright for its size. I have thrunite ti3 that is comparable, but it is more of a flood whereas this one is more balanced between throw and flood. Also the ti3 heats up very quickly using a 10440 and the k18 stays cool for extended periods. The strobe feature is accessed by a quick double click which is the easiest to get to of any of my flashlights. If you double-click it when it's off it goes into a safe mode where you need to double-click again to activate it. I'll post an update if anything goes wrong with it. Very happy with this purchase.

Parlando di mini torcie finalmente direi di aver trovato la piu longeva sotto un punto di vista illuminazione , ma partendo dall'inizio codesta torcia non portava un marchio da mé conosciuto , letta la scheda mi sono deciso a provarla visti i buoni presupposti ... ordinati due pezzi visto il prezzo conveniente , arriva a casa nella sua confezione originale , la scatola esterna vi mostra informazioni fondamentali , aperta in primo piano c'é lei.... bellissima ...appena presa fra le mani impossibile non notare la buona lavorazione , acciaio anodizzato molto corposo nelle rifiniture curate con attaccato gia il fermaglio per agganci vari , comodissima grazie al bottone di comando posizionato sulla testa , anellino sul fondo per farne da portachiavi ...partiamo molto bene ...., nella scatola a corredo troviamo due guarnizioni di ricambio , un moschettone ed una ministilo AAA , foglietto spiegazioni e garanzia.... praticamente tutto !
Inizio col dirvi che codesta torcia é alimentabile in 3 modi differenti e si possono utilizzare a seconda della situazione fino a 360 lumens...impressionante!
Basta una 10440 lihon per vedere cosa puo fare la piccola... che cmq utilizzata anche con una stilo o una ricaricabile rendera meno potenza ma sempre notevole e con le stesse modalita di funzione , cambiano solo le tempistiche a disposizione ampliamente descritte sul retro scatola., come dicevo il massimo si ha con la 10440 inserita nella polarita corretta un click piu accentuato per accendere la torcia che in genere parte a medio livello 80 lumens sino a toccare 1.5 h , accesa per scorrere fra i livelli basta un click normale ( 3 livelli ...basso , medio , alto + strobo a parte ) sta a noi la scelta di miglior luce per la situazione perché anche se sceglieremo una stilo o ricaricabile si potra disporre di un massimo di 110 lumens e fidatevi che non vi é da lamentarsi grazie allo studio di massimo sfruttamento luce a risparmio energetico ed un vetro che non interferisce ma ne rende il fascio brillante , con una stilo a 3 lumens possiamo al buio totale vedere in prossimita il cammino x 45 ore ! E via ogni combinazione scelta avra sempre una luce giusta idonea alla situazione senza problematiche di surriscaldamento ...... comando strobo da luce accesa due click veloci , la torcia si spegnere con un click piu lungo mentre a torcia spenta un rapido doppio click la blocca per impedire accensioni accidentali ... bastera ripetere l'operazione per lo sblocco , utilizzo ad una mano con una clssse ipx8 ....qualcuno ha dei dubbi ? Qualita prezzo ottimi , gamma con diversi colori a differente prezzo ( per modelli base e speciali , stesse funzioni cambiano i materiali ) consiglio anche la versione in acciaio inox .....,

Con pila AAA ministilo (ho provato con una duracell ultra power, anche se c'è una AAA compresa nella confezione) tutto ok perchè ha il bottone sporgente del polo positivo.
Con accumulatore 10440 al litio (ho preso due EFEST qui su amazon, ma le dimensioni sono standard) c'è un problema con una battuta dell'anello filettato di ottone che tiene in sede l'elettronica che ha diametro 9,7mm mentre le 10440 sono diametro 10,2mm (come anche le AAA). L'ho smontato e limato col dremel. Lavoro manuale di 5 minuti, più tutto il tempo precedente passato a chiedermi perchè non funzionasse... (ho usato le punte del calibro per svitare l'anello). Adesso funziona anche con le 10440. Peccato però per questa incongruenza
Con le 10440 fa effettivamente tantissima più luce rispetto alla ministilo AAA, diventando un flashlight potentissimo.
In med con 10440 è più luminosa della max con AAA
Invece la max con 10440 è eccezionale in quanto a luce emessa ma scalda tanto e dopo 5 minuti non si tiene quasi più in mano. In med invece scalda appena e può essere usata ininterrottamente fino a scarica completa. Comunque è normale per questo tipo di prodotti, anzi credo che questa K18 sia molto meglio della concorrenza!
Provengo da una vecchia maglite solitaire led che porta solo AAA, e già confrontata con la K18 con AAA quest'ultima risulta più luminosa in max oltre ad avere le tre gradazioni + strobo. E' un prodotto molto più moderno e performante. Ma la vera differenza la fa la 10440.
Segnalo infine che l'interruttore sporge leggermente dalla sagoma, e io che la tengo infilata nella custodia leatherman in pelle del charge TTI appeso alla cintura, che è fatta di tela elasticizzata devo fare attenzione quando la inserisco che non si accenda per sbaglio nella manovra. Poi una volta inserita non mi è mai capitato che si sia accesa da sola.
Ho anche scoperto che ha una funzione lock per bloccare l'accensione: basta fare doppio click veloce quando è spenta!
