I have been a Desiree Holt fan for a very,very long time and in He Came Upon a Midnight Clear I was once again surprises by just how very powerful this author can be.

The characters were strong,passionate,loving,remarkable and so much more. The book tells of Libby and Cody ,two people who both have a life decision to make but needs a little push in the right direction to get there. But at the same time they both have their secrets that could ruin it all.

Libby had a life altering experience at a spa and needs a little pick me up one night stand to make her feel like a true sensual woman again.Cody on the other hand as to find a wife by New Years Day or stand to loose his ranch.

This book was a wonderful addition to the "one night stand series" and in true Desiree Holt fashion gave me all I want from a good read. It was the kind of book that after reading you need more than just a few minutes to come back down to earth and catch your breath.

Desiree Holt twists here and twines there to create a absolutely wonderful read. She knows how,when and where to give the scenes the edge and

And yes it has that very happy ending that I have come to love from Desiree's books. It is a quick read but one that you will not forget.

...There isn't much depth to the characters, but the reader is given enough to understand the decisions the characters have made and their current driving force. For those who enjoy conflict prior to the resolution, you won't get it. But those who enjoy a quick, steamy, HEA have come to the right place. Did I mention steamy? Extremely steamy erotic scenes!...

Cody Alvarez Had A Problem, He Needed To Be Engaged By New Years Day Or The Ranch He'd Inherited From His Uncle Would Be Sold! He'd Been So Busy That He'd Had No Time To Look For A Woman, And Then One Night He'd Misspelled A Word While On The Web And Landed At 1Night Stand. He Filled Out The Form And Flew To Seattle To Hook Up With The Company's Plane. He'd Researched The Company And Madame Evangeline Said He Would Learn About The Woman She Picked Out On Christmas Eve And He Only Hoped The Woman Looked As Good As Libby!

Libby Morrison Had Been Heavy All Of Her Life, Frumpy, And Boring. She Was Tired Of Friends Fixing Her Up With Pity Dates And When She Won Fifty Thousand Dollars In The Lottery She Quit Her Job As A Legal Assistant And Entered A Spa For A Two Month Stay Where She Didn't Look Like The Same Olive Morrison Coming Out! Another great edition the the 1 Night Stand line. Like the other books in this series it is a quick read. The love story of Cody and Libby was so sweet of finding your true match.

These 1 Night Stand shorts are very addictive...and Desiree Holt knows just how to tease the reader. The authors' talent to manufacture moments between characters is amazing. In those moments, when an outsider (a reader...like me) is pulled into the story and made to forget everything else - 5 STARS.
