A small town, second chance romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry.

Life on his ranch could be their future. If they can overcome their past.

Felicity’s life story reads like the script to a bad soap opera. Girl’s high-school boyfriend becomes a drug addict. Girl falls for boyfriend’s best friend. Girl leaves them both behind only to return home years later for murdered ex-boyfriend’s funeral. Now she’s back home in Montana, ready to start fresh. She’s got a long list of amends to make and relationships to rebuild, including one with the man who has owned her heart for sixteen years.

Silas doesn’t need much. He’s got a great horse, close friends and the Lucky Heart ranch, but something has always been missing. He’s not an idiot. He knows the missing piece is Felicity. And now that she’s returned to Prescott, he’s got a second chance to win her heart. This time, the only thing standing in his way is history. Drudging up the past is going to be about as painful as playing tug of war with barbed wire. But if they can heal old wounds, he’ll get the girl he should have had all along.

The Lucky Heart was a magnificent second chance romance from Devney Perry. I was so glad to be back with the characters of Prescott, Montana. Felicity, Jess's sister from The Coppersmith Farmhouse, had me intrigued with her bitchy personality. I couldn't wait to peel her layers and discover the real woman behind the cold attitude, but also learn more about her past with Silas. I can say that this story gave me all the feels and was truly romantic with a little dose of suspense.

Felicity started as a cold and snappy character, but slowly melted under Silas's care. The woman is back in her hometown after an absence of over fifteen years, but the old wounds are still fresh. She's still haunted by her decisions and actions and how she hurt the people she loved. This new start in Prescott isn't easy, but she slowly mends her relationship with Silas by getting slowly reacquainted as friends.

That man is just so dreamy! He's still so in love with Felicity and more determined than ever to get the woman of his dreams. I loved how caring and protective he was. He's patient and knows her better than anyone, depsite all their years apart. He's devoted and shows it time and time again. Silas is truly the epitome of swoon worthy hero!

The Lucky Heart left me overcome by all the sweetest feelings! I need more of the Jamison Valley Series. I'm now diving into The Outpost, Sabrina's story. I'm sure this novel will be a hit too!

"For those who cross under this sign, may your hearts be lucky in love and in life."

I am so happy that I finally started this series. Another great addition to it. I really liked this one but it's not my favorite. The suspense factor wasn't quite as prominent and their relationship came along a little too easily. Overall a great read!!! Can't wait to dive into the next one.

Devney Perry fast becoming one of my very favorite authors! I love all the books I've read so far; Lark Cove series (Tragic is my absolute Favorite!) & 4 of the Jamieson Valley series (I will definitely read all of them!) It amazes me the stories that a good author is capable of writing. Me, myself, I'm a reader, not a writer. Fabulous books so far.

A beautiful story of coming home, facing the ghosts of the past, reuniting with true love, and making amends. With just the right amount of drama, laughs, romance and steam. I like that the point of view alternates between Felicity and Silas. It’s a cozy read and I liked it enough to want to read the next book The Outpost.

I think Felicity and Silas' story is my favorite so far!

I loved following along with Felicity as she came into her own. Everyone deserves happiness, and forgiveness is something we should all aspire to grant to others. She's a tough gal, that can hold her own when she needs to.

Silas holds true to what he believes in and these two characters are the perfect balance for each other.

Second chance is one of my go to's so as soon as I read the blurb I was hooked. Silas and Felicty definitely have a complicated past and a love that is just as complicated. But as they rediscovered each other and uncovered that love I couldn't get enough.

The Lucky Heart by Devney Perry is the third book in her Jamison Valley series. Emotionally evoking, swoony, heart-breaking, and ultimately healing this was another stellar romance from this author!

Silas and Felicity's story is fraught with heartache and history. From her history with Wes Drummond, to her past and possible future with Silas. Felicity is bound and determined to make amends to the people in Prescott for how she behaved int he past. It has been sixteen long years since she left her hometown in her dust and returning home is hard, but worth it.

Silas has always loved felicity but is sure he will always be her second choice. When they start to spend more time together, to build something, the past is the third wheel in their budding relationship.

With plenty of appearances from past characters and a few appearances of upcoming characters this was another favorite. Enjoy!

Devney Perry my queen you’ve done it again. I knew Silas was going to be one of my favourites and Felicity completely won me over!

This was a second chance romance that was done perfectly. I fell in love with Silas and Felicity and their relationship. I loved that there was no major drama between them and how much they loved each other even though they’d been apart for 16 years. I love that there was no third act breakup and just how they kept choosing each other. I enjoyed the slow burn between them although I did want to shout at them for one of them to make the first move, and I love how Paxon finally just took it out of their hands! I adore how fierce and sassy Felicity is, and my heart broke for her when she thought she had to change her self to fit back into Prescott, but I absolutely loved how Silas fought to bring that side back out of her and showed her how much he loved her for it! Silas has my entire heart he is so precious, and I adore him so much! He’s so incredibly swoon worthy and he just has a heart of gold!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE EPITOME OF EPIC LOVE WRAPPED IN SMALL-TOWN CHARM

Some stories are written with SO much heart, they leave you in the kind of happy daze that makes you cling onto every last remnant of it for as long as you can, and every one of Devney Perry’s novels to date has made me feel that way. But THIS book—this delightful, feel-good, at times incredibly moving tale of second chances—owned my heart cover to cover. There’s something about small town romances that never fails to strike a chord with me, their romantic backdrop creating the picture-perfect setting for timeless love stories infused with hope and promise, and the Jamison Valley series is the very epitome of epic love wrapped in small-town charm. This is one of my most beloved books of the year—a story I simply could not get enough of—and this author is quickly becoming a top favourite of mine.

"I had spent far too long learning to guard my heart. I was a master at pretending I was fine on my own. I was famous for striking back with attitude whenever I felt pain. And I had become an expert at leaving others before they could leave me."

After a sixteen-year absence, Felicity Cleary has finally returned to her small hometown of Prescott, Montana in the hope of making amends with her past. As someone who’s always felt everything deeply, but learned very early on in life to guard her heart by pushing people away before they could hurt her, she knows that the only way to show people she has changed is by shedding her armour completely and revealing her true self to the world around her. But apart from rebuilding relationships with family and friends, her greatest reason for coming back home is a man she has loved for most of her life, but who has every reason to hate her for the rest of his.

"I had hoped that by moving home I could repair some of the relationships I had broken when I’d left sixteen years ago. That I could get to know my niece and nephew better and strengthen my relationships with my family. That maybe, just maybe, Silas and I could put the past behind us and start over."

Silas Grant has only ever loved one woman, a woman who walked out on him after a single night of unbridled passion and a lifetime of longing, and even though he knows he should stay away from her, from the moment he sees her again, he can’t get her off his mind. But while the whole town remains somewhat reluctant to welcome a former ‘mean girl’ back into its fold, Felicity’s fiery personality is one of the things Silas has always loved the most about her—her passion sparking his own—and he is determined not to let her smother her own spirit while he does all he can to win her heart once and for all.

"I’d be her friend and then press for more. Because now that she was back in Montana, I wasn’t letting her go. I’d play it slow and steady. Put in the time. But one day she’d be mine. Just like she was always meant to be."

They agree to become friends again, to set aside their attraction and ignore the fireworks that fly between them every time they lay eyes on each other, but secretly they both remain hopeful that their friendship would one day grow into something more. Ghosts from the past, however, keep holding them both captive, filling their minds with decades-old guilt and insecurities, and stopping them from moving forward. Only stripping themselves bare before one another and facing their fears together could give their relationship the clean slate they so desperately need.

"When would it stop hurting? I hated that I’d broken Silas’s heart. Just thinking about it made me sick, but I couldn’t change the past. When was it going to stop being thrown in my face? I had been trying so hard. When would it be enough?"

Felicity is a heroine whose personal journey of redemption and forgiveness endears her to us from the start. I felt her pain, I felt her desperation, but I also felt her endless courage and strength, making for an irresistible cocktail of emotions that ties us to her on a visceral level, and that connection only intensifies as we get to know her better. And in Silas we find a selfless, steadfast hero who is willing to patiently wait for the woman he’s loved unreservedly all his life to love him back. This is one of those epic love stories that makes you smile every time you think about it, your heart growing a little warmer and happier from the mere memory of these characters…until you find yourself re-reading their story again and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.

I have literally just finished reading Lucky Heart and I already want to read it again!
When I first heard the third book was going to be about Felicity and Silas, I just knew it was going to be amazing! A swoon-worthy cowboy and a feisty heroine what more could you want 😘
We first met Felicity in the first book where she makes a not so good impression on everyone and we also meet Silas who is best friends with her brother.
Silas and Felicity had a lot of history that had not been resolved in over a decade and when she finally moves home after all these years Silas knows it's now or never to win back the girl he loved.
I highly recommend this series. You will not be disappointed.

The Lucky Heart is the third book in the Jamison Valley series, and by the time I got to this story, I was thoroughly invested in all of the characters of this series. Silas and Felicity’s story is a second-chance, small-town romance with a wonderful cast of characters, a well-developed plot, and a smidge of suspense which is why I love Ms. Perry’s writing so much.

In the beginning, I had to wonder just how the author was going to be able to redeem Felicity because she was such an unlikeable character. But as in all of her books, she did it by writing her with such depth and willingness to grow that Felicity just seemed to flow well from a real witch with a capital B to a lovable heroine. And Silas was the perfect mix of sweet but tough that she needed right when she needed it. But given the history between them, that wasn’t surprising. While I understand that Silas’ dad had a lot to get over, most of the time, I just wanted to smack him to make him wake up to the fact that his attitude and actions were going to cause him to lose his son altogether.

As with the first two books in the series, I’m left kicking myself that I didn’t find Devney Perry’s books sooner. As a romantic suspense and series junkie, her books have yet to fail to check all of the boxes for me.

I don't usually write reviews because I'm not much of a writer, but certain books compel me to.

I loved Jess from The Coppersmith Farmhouse, I loved Nick from The Clover Chapel, but Silas currently holds my heart and soul!

I didn't think I was going to like this story as much as the others as Felicity was painted as the biggest bitch in The Coppersmith Farmhouse, but that is just not her at all! My heart broke for the choices she made and the pain she went through to get back to Silas and her family! The journey these two went on proves that true love does exist if you stop and talk things through. Silas was tough at first, but once he stopped being angry and opened his eyes, he made my heart melt! I wanted to throat punch his Dad, but it all came good in the end!

I know this is going to be one of my top re-reads, I've read it twice already, the first time I flew through it because I couldn't get enough, the second time I savoured it and came across things I missed the first time. Now I know the next time I read it, I'll probably find something else new, and that's what I love about this series, they are so well written and take you on a different journey each time you read them.

Devney Perry is a fantastic author, it is hard to believe she has only been doing it for a year! Anything she writes I know I will devour and love. A total automatic one-click buy author for me, even without reading the blurb
