Product Description

The JessEm Rout-R-Lift II has all the same great features as our Mast-R-Lift II but at a price we know you will appreciate. This lift is made out of aluminum with a phenolic top plate. The Rout-R-Lift II comes in 5 different styles depending on the router and router diameter you plan to use. This model is designed for use with Porter Cable 690/890, DW 610/616/618, Bosch 1617/1618, or any other routers with 3.5" diameter motors. Double-Sealed Ball Bearing Construction Thanks to the a double sealed bearing to the spindle, the Rout-R-Lift II can smoothly raise and lower your motor with ease. Bearing the Tension of the Lift The shafts on the Rout-R-Lift II, like all the Router Lifts, are pressed into a shaft mount with hydraulic pressure. The shafts are attached to the top plate and fasten in place with more than one screw spreading the lateral load and providing a very rigid and durable mount that will withstand the toughest routing operations. Sturdy Construction All the machined components on the Rout-R-Lift II are CNC machined for durability. No Bent Wrenches The bits can be easily changed from above the table without the need for bent wrenches.

Perfect fit for Dewalt 7491 saw using Dewalt 618 router.
Getting prepared to learn how to build cabinets, doors, and drawers. Building them for the garage first just in case.I'm familiar with framing and finish work, but never ventured into fine woodworking.I do have the best portable contractors saw on the market, so I went to UTU and watched a few videos on cabinetry and also building saunas.I will be building both a sauna radius T&G (convex and concave) and will need the 2 1/4HP router to make these cuts. The shower will then be stood on end. As shown in the picture. As for the saw, it's a Dewalt 7491. The router is a Dewalt 618. I have provided pictures of the entire setup for information if you need it. This is the best way I've found to still allow the guards to be stored.Use a 24 x 24 piece of plywood and then cut it down to fit the radius in the deck. Run the aluminum supports out as far as possible. mount them to the saw with #408 ubolts and 1" angles on top in the the deck edge.As for the Jessum lift, It was the best, yet at an affordable price. I have operated the lift and it works excellent. Smooth, accurate, and flat. I mounted it in such a way that I can utilize my existing fence or adding a sacrificial fence by using clamps.Just a note, the Dewalt 7491 is the most accurate jobsite table saw available. The rack and pinion fence works excellent. Just like the Jessum router lift. Two things. After going to school at UTU and watching videos, I notice many of the people made the same mistake by not leaving enough surface area in the recess. After tracing your line around the lift onto your deck, measure in 7/8" and make that line your cutout. That way your slack adjusters (2) will perfectly contact the recessed border underneath. Also, if your a yank, you will need four 1/4 x 20 thread inserts for wood for the corners. Also, I wouldn't use anything less then 3/4" for your deck.Jessum did a great jobOne thing I would have preferred would have been a blank red cap to place over and protect the router when not in use.All in all, this was a great purchase. If you're just starting out, don't let it scare you. Just take your time and avoid mistakes.

In the world of woodworking, having the right tools and equipment is half the battle won. The JessEm Rout-R-Lift II router lift is one such gem that has proved to be a fantastic upgrade to my workshop. Right from the get-go, the quality of this router lift is evident. The robust construction out of aluminum with a phenolic top plate stands testament to its durability.

The installation process was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and getting it up and running didn't take much time. The compatibility with different router models is a great feature, and it fit snug with my Porter Cable 690. This flexibility is great as it leaves room for router upgrades in the future without the need to change the lift.

The ease of operation is where this lift shines. The double-sealed ball bearing construction makes raising and lowering the router motor smooth. It’s a small feature that makes a world of a difference, especially when precision is key in woodworking projects. Adjusting the height and changing bits from above the table has never been easier. Gone are the days of fumbling with bent wrenches under the table, a hassle any woodworker would be glad to do away with.

I’ve put this lift through its paces, and it has stood up to the task every single time. The solid construction ensures there's no flex or play, providing a reliable and steady platform for routing operations. The CNC machined components add to the rigidity and overall durability of the lift.

In essence, the JessEm Rout-R-Lift II has not just met, but exceeded my expectations. It's a well-thought-out, well-constructed piece of equipment that has brought a level of ease and precision to my woodworking projects. It’s an investment that has already paid dividends in the quality and efficiency of my work. For anyone looking to upgrade their routing setup, this lift is definitely worth considering.

I have a 30 year old router that works well, so when I saw my router listed that it would fit I tried the lift. It fit so well and worked so smooth. Very happy with the quality.
Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2023
Everything on this lift is great except that the four hold down bolts in the corners of the lift do not match up to the hole locations in the Kreg table top. If you are buying this lift the chances are good that you have the skills to manufacture your own solution for this issue and even if you don't the lift with router is stable in the table even without the bolts. The Kreg leveling system does work with this lift but the Jessem system does not work in the Kreg table top. You only need one leveling system but if you want to use the Jessem system then you can design a solution for that at the same time you solve the hold down bolt issue. Would easily be a 5 star+ review if Jessem sent adaptor plates to fit in the other brand table tops... or even made them available for purchase but I don't see any commercially available solution.

UPDATE - Jessem returned my call and they do offer a set of corner pads that are supposed to make their lift fit in the Kreg Precision router table. It is Jessem Part# 02027 and can be found at their website with a search or in the Router Accessories section. The problem is it costs $28 with another $23 shipping so pretty pricey for 4 little pieces of aluminum, but at least its there.

5.0 out of 5 stars The price is AMAZING...

The workmanship on this unit is stupendous... I love to machine parts myself, I have a milling machine and a gear lathe so I'm here to tell you I couldn't produce this part as a hobbyist for less than triple the price in time and materials.

Some are also complaining that you have to buy a separate router motor, well duh!!! If you're buying this for the advantage of a stationary tool, then bite the bullet and get the biggest router motor you can afford. I bought a Dewalt DW618 x 2 1/4 hp. As for missing insert rings, you can find a full set of 9 plus a holding tray at around $50. but the ones included with the lift will get you started quite adequately. You can also buy a set of 4 blanks to drill your own custom sizes.

I will also be buying a couple of Dewalt router bases for that new router motor... A plunge base and a D-base... So yes, I'm a bit of a tool freak but that doesn't negate the fact that I think this router lift is a real BARGAIN.
