Overview

Help maintain and protect your pet's joint health with Easy Step Pet Stairs.

The innovative incline of each step reduces the amount of stairs needed to climb eliminating stress on your pet.

Pets that constantly jump off sofas, beds, and other furniture can place unnecessary strain on the joints which could potentially lead to arthritis. As with any steps some dogs may need training.

Why use a pet stair or ramp?

Pet stairs and ramps help your pet safely get to hard to reach places- and back down from them! Pet Gear pet stairs feature wide, deep steps that give smaller dogs the ability to get their entire body on each platform and offer more stability for large dogs to comfortably climb the stairs. The innovative incline of each step reduces the number of stairs your pet needs to climb, eliminating stress on your pet.

Can the stairs be cleaned?

All of Pet Gear's stairs come with either a removable carpet tread or cover that removes quickly and is machine washable.

How difficult to assemble?

All of Pet Gear's stairs snap together easily- no tools required.

Great for lazy accident prone dogs
We have a very spoiled 3 year old Boston terrier named lucy who is also very lazy. She also is a chicken and scared of just about everything(not much of a guard dog). We have hardwood floors mostly throughout the house. Particularly in our bedroom. Lucy camps out in our bedroom and spends alot of time on our giant king size bed. We have one of those wood sleigh beds that sit pretty high off the ground. We had a plumbing mishap that ended with our room getting flooded and ruining the big area rug our bed was on. After we pulled it out of there we decided to just not get another rug and leave it. But that ended up being a hardship for our Lucy who before had no trouble getting on the bed. But now because of how slick the flooring was she'd slip and loose her footing causing her to nose dive right into the bed. Which also traumatized her. So for about a month we resorted to lifting her on and off the bed which is no problem. Until she wants up/down in the middle of the night while you are sleeping because she is also about the thirstiest dog on the planet who had to get down a lot to drink water. And then paw at you until you wake up and can lift her up. And if that doesn't work she'll pace back and forth so the click click click of her toenails on the hardwood floor grates on your nerves. We decided to look into getting doggy stairs. We looked on Amazon starting with the reviews. We took a lot of things into consideration because we didnt want to get them and then just waste our money on stairs she's too scared to use. Also they had to be a good experience for her otherwise if we got the wrong kind and she had some sort of mishap on them. She'd never ever try stairs again. These stairs have rubber grippers on the bottom. Which is a plus because they stay in place. But when we first got them. She wanted nothing to do with them. She was scared not them!!!! I was persistent so I just continued to more or less force her to use them. I'd put her front feet on them. And she'd stand there not moving forward so I'd nudge her a little with my foot up the stairs and I continued to do that. I refused to pick her up and put her on the bed. Then a couple days of that she finally started to get the hang of it amd use them to get on the bed. But not use them to get off. But after a week of going up them and gaining confidence that the stairs were indeed NOT a death machine. She started to use them going down. Now she uses the stairs like a champ!!! She likes them. We like them. Everyone's happy😊 They were super easy to put together. Very sturdy. They aren't ugly and the carpet on the steps are velcroed on so you can remove them to wash while the rest is hard plastic easy to wipe down. So if you are looking to get some stairs for your cat or dog. I recommend these. If you have a pet who is stubborn or scared of everything like my dog is and are afraid they won't use them. Just be patient and persistent and they will get the hang of using them.

I have a dog ramp made out of same material as these steps from the same company that has been and continues to be wonderful after years of use. I have and have had many other doggie steps from other companies, everything from compressed cardboard, foam and plastic. These are very sturdy and the steps are wide. They slant a bit which I was worried about but not a problem at all. It is very slight and allows only two steps to be needed to reach the couch. I have 3 dogs weighing from 16.5 to 32 pounds and they all love them. I got them because one of the dogs is over 16 and the 3 step stairs he has used for years are a bit unsteady for him because he needed bigger steps. These are perfect. I want to add that this company is excellent as well. I mentioned the ramp from the same company. After about 3 years the removable carpet was worn and not providing as much traction as I would like so I contacted the company and I was able to purchase replacement carpet treads and although I can't remember exactly how much it was I do know it was very reasonable and I thought the customer service was excellent.

Because I can not find a place to leave feedback on Amazon service I will leave it here but because the product is great I am not going to take away stars. However, if I could rate Amazon's customer service I would rate it at 1 star because when I call they are friendly and make me think that the problem is solved but they are lying to me because when I do what they say will fix the problem it doesn't and when I call again I get same run around. It is sad because I have been customer for several years and for the first time I am checking out other options like jet.com because when I order from them I get packages delivered to my door.

I ordered these steps for my 10 year old porky Chihuahua. I have a set up so she used to jump on a plastic footstool, then onto a chair, then pillows leading up to my bed. She always seemed nervous with the footstool and it made me nervous as well. I wouldn't want her falling and getting hurt. Especially if I wasn't at home.

They were delivered quickly and arrived Saturday by USPS. The directions were very clear and the pieces were marked on the back. I had them put together in 5 minutes. It didn't take long for Dolly to start using them. I put her on one step at a time to show her. They are lightweight, but sturdy. I love the carpet on them. They are attached well with Velcro. Dolly is using them all the time and doesn't hesitate like she did with the step stool.

It took me a long time to find what I was looking for. I love the depth of these steps. Most of the ones I looked at were not deep enough so when I saw these and read all the reviews I had to buy them. It was an excellent price for the safety of my dog. The fact that they can hold up to 150 lbs is great because I have a 7 month old GSD, so if she jumps on them they won't break. Down the road the SGD may need them as well and I'm sure they will last. Very, very happy with the stairs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Used by dog to get up on couch after recovery from ruptured cruciate ligament surgery.
Reviewed in Canada on September 7, 2022
My dog took to it straight away. Easy for her to get on as the steps are nice and wide. Stairs are correct height for the couch. No problem holding her weight...she is 70 pounds. I had a brain cramp when putting it together...thought the risers were faulty. Got in Touch with Pet Gear and their support was excellent. Got back to me very quickly and very pleasant. Everything snapped together in no time at all. These pet stairs are not heavy so they are easy to move around. Would certainly buy again.

Reviewed in Italy on February 16, 2022

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente opción para mi perrito Shih Tzu
Reviewed in Mexico on July 25, 2020
