    I bought this laptop on 2017. It lasted less than a year. It kept doing updates till it got to the point that it wouldn't even run anymore. This was a major waste of time and money. I have 4 daughters and dont have money I can blow on stuff we dont need. We needed it and hp definitely failed us. Very disappointed..

    I LOVE this so far! It feels like an apple laptop, to be honest. It's also pretty and it's fast. connects very well with wifi and screen is bright and wide. The downfall I think is that since the top looks like a stainless steel material, grease is obvious but not anything a good stainless steel wipe can handle. Also, when I used this outside on a bright sunny day, I had to tilt the screen backwards and the person standing behind me can't see anything because of the brightness. Other than that, I love it! Perfect for work and everyday use!

    I bought this laptop and immediately did the hack to put a regular ssd inside. I think for the money this thing has been awesome. The battery life is not great but the screen is fabulous and it runs windows 10 and Ubuntu just fine. You will not be gaming on this but for light tasks and watching videos it is great.

    The screen quality is great, for the computer being 2 years old as of this review. There is no touch screen, so that isn’t at all applicable. The battery doesn’t last all that long, especially when the computer is in frequent use. I like that it has a HDMI input, so I can use my smart tv as a monitor and listen to my iTunes library on the TV that way.

    The biggest downside to this computer (and the reason I wouldn’t recommend it) is its frustrating lack of space on the C drive, and most of that space being taken up by the OS. I took the computer apart and installed a 250GB SSD to store personal data, but I have to continuously uninstall and then reinstall programs from/to the computer (including iTunes/iCloud, and even irrelevant Windows programs and more) just to be able to get updates.

    So I knew coming into this purchase what I was getting, that is why I purchased it. I used a flash drive to copy windows 10 and I removed the memory and installed a SSD. I also changed out the RAM to 12 instead of the 4 it had. For a few extra dollars, I was able to buy a 1080p laptop with most of the nice features of a higher end laptop. Surprisingly the E2 processor which is AMDs bottom end actually pairs well with the additional RAM and upgraded SSD. The computer loads extremely fast and I haven't had a single issue with it since. My favorite part is the 10 second start up time.

    This takes literally no real skill to change out and all parts are easy to put in once you remove the screws. I will note, this will void your warranty, but it will give you a solid machine.

    This computer is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. It came with no documentation except for a piece of paper that told me that HP had no warranty reel or implied. After plugging it in and charging it overnight I discovered that the battery is 100% dead…. Despite the fact that the indicator said it was 100% charged. I then accessed the battery diagnostics (with the power cord) and it showed that the battery had no capacity to be charged. None.
    Then when trying to log onto my Wi-Fi I discovered that Several of my neighbors signals showed up but my own signal did not. I am assuming that this is because some of the neighbors have an older wireless standard that os compatible to this laptop and my router (which is fairly new) is probably not compatible with this old computer.
    Very disappointing. Will be sending this back first thing Monday.
