What a wonderful book! I was looking for a book that would motivate me to begin eating a healthier diet and live a healthy lifestyle. Cassie wrote a book that is easy to read and is loaded with simple and manageable ideas to get you started on your journey. She includes helpful links to back her facts and information about her blog/business that is loaded with terrific tools to getting started. She could not make it any easier to begin on your weight loss and fitness goals. I suffer from migraines and after following the PFC lifestyle I have had NO migraines in two months and have lost 11 pounds! Knowing you are fueling your body with healthy food truly makes you feel better inside and out! I didn't even think I had to lose any weight but by replacing unhealthy carbs with healthy alternatives (PFC) made all the difference. Cassie's passion about the PFC way of life is evident and that passion rubs off on the reader. Thank you Cassie for writing a book that is sure to help inspire many reach and maintain their goals! I would highly recommend this fantastic book! 5 stars!!!

Seriously one of the best books for people who have tried everything for weight loss or are stuck in a rut and frustrated. It's not super long and she writes so we can all understand. So many great things so that each person can be a detective and get their metabolism moving again to lose weight. Only a couple of days after reading this book and enacting some changes I'm finally seeing the scale move!
I've met her a couple of years ago at a nutrition class when I wasn't really ready to listen. She is amazing, inspiring, and oh so knowledgeable!! I recommend also following her on social media for more great advice/tips - search on fb or insta "cassie.net".
If you're in the edge, it's worth the little money for this awesome book!

I loved that this book was written in an easy to follow and understand approach. I agree totally that eating a balanced diet combining PFC's (protein, fat, and carbohydrates) at every meal (except bedtime snack) using REAL food is huge and essential to success in weight loss and feeling good. This is a huge change from when I was younger and all you heard about was low/non fat diets. So many foods were filled with sugar, whether real or artificial, as well as tons of trans fats. That approach has made many fat and unhealthy. By following her recommendation on serving size, without actually "counting" calories, one can achieve the desired results. Eating real food is also so important. So many packaged products are filled with items I wouldn't even feed a dog. If I don't know what the ingredient is, it goes back on the shelf!! Great Job Dietitian Cassie!!

I have been following Cassie Bjork for a few years now. She offers extremely sound and sensible nutritional advice, while breaking down all the whys and hows of weight-loss. Her philosophy is whole foods based, but she does really push her own line of supplements. I think there are other good supplement lines out there besides hers (I'm sure hers are good). However, I trust the people at my health food store to advise me on their supplement lines. Also, I think this book is helpful for people who need to lose a lot of weight. I'm down to the last 10 pounds, and I don't find her strategies are helping anymore. So I wish she went into that more in the book. She adds a little blurb about contacting her team for coaching for trouble shooting, which is very expensive. So I took off a star because I don't feel the book takes you completely to the finish line. But it is a good read if you're new to whole foods based nutrition.

I started following Dietician Cassie, probably 6 months or so before her book came out. I pre-ordered and as soon as it came, I read it cover to cover. I have the Kindle version. I worked to implement everything she suggests. However, it took me about 6 or so months to fully get on board.

I have a very stressful life that includes a husband on a vent with ALS, being his full-time caregiver and also trying to continue to work. Me time - what the heck is that? So ther were many hurdles that I had to overcome inside of myself before fully committing. Mostly they had to do with reaching for SUGAR to help with the stress. (which it never actually does).

I grew up with the "scrape a knee, here have a cookie" type of situation. Something I didn't do with my own children, due to my constant weight struggles.

Fast forward to this fall. The day after Thanksgiving, I committed 100% to the PFC, along with strick Paleo template. I made sure that all my meals were PFC, leaning slightly heavier on the F. Probably not really, but since most of us have been brain washed to avoid F at all costs, what seems heavy to me, even coming from a loose paleo diet, still is probably the perfect amount.

I did not record one thing and I also stayed off the scale for an entire month. No macros, no calories. I just made sure my plate was filled as Cassie recommends in her book. I also started trying to get in my 10,000 steps a day. Mostly they were just done around the house. If I could get someone here, I would go for a quick 30 min walk with the dog. That's it. I lost 9.2 lbs and 12+" that first month. That, if you noticed the timing, was between Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I have continued on with this same set up through today, almost 4 months. As of the end of month 3, I was down 19 lbs and 27+". Still only weighing 1x a month. (I can obsess on the scale number, just like a food diary)

I started out needing to lose about 50lb. I'm more than 1/3 of the way to my goal. If I average it out, I'm losing just over a 1 lbs per week. Not speedy, but effective.

One of the biggest things I noticed, was I no longer crave sugar. I have more energy and I handle the stress of my situation much, much better. Far better than when grabbing the sugar fix (can you say chocolate or donuts?). When I passed the 90 day mark, I did allow myself a very small peice of 85% chocolate now and then. However, I limit it, because I consider it a slippery slope for me. I have not touched donuts and don't plan to, they don't sound good to me any more.

I highly recommend reading and implementing what Dietitian Cassie recommend in her book. It does work. If you are on the fence. Buy this book, you can't go wrong, you health depends on getting things right. You will feel sooo much better!

As a fellow real food Registered Dietitian I respect the knowledge Cassie has on all areas of health but particularly weight loss. If you want one book to help you figure out the root cause of why you're not losing weight, this is the one! An added bonus: you get FREE downloads with your purchase, making this book even more valuable!

This book is easy to read and understand and breaks down the science behind weight loss in order to help you achieve your best weight. Definitely a book I will recommend to my clients!

I literally read this book in one day. Don't get me wrong, it's not a short book-I just couldn't put it down.

The book changed my views about food and as soon as I'd finished it I set about ordering fresh, organic, grass fed food.
I took notes throughout of examples of fat, carbs and protein and the general guidelines of volume of each. I then mixed and matched to set a week's eating plan and made a shopping list.

I've been struggling with panic attacks and anxiety and therapy wasn't helping. Within a few days of reading the book and changing my eating I already feel better and now I know it's because I've stepped off the blood sugar roller coaster.

I have been a big fan of dietitian Cassie for a while and this book brings together all her advice in one place;she also highlights the importance of sleep, stress and cutting back on chronic cardio. It is has made me rethink life in general and I'm actually really excited about moving forward and improving my overall wellbeing.

If you are wondering if you should buy this book I say buy it right now! It's the most comprehensive book on how to make sure all the jigsaw pieces of health, and weight loss, come together to make you happier and healthier.
