About the author
Mark was born in Huntingdon on the 4th February 1961, he is 60 years old. The son of a bricklayer, Mark was raised in the small rural village of Southoe, which is situated between Huntingdon and St Neots in Cambridgeshire, England. Mark was educated at Southoe, Brampton and Hinchingbrooke School in Huntingdon. He spent the last 2 year's of his education studying at Hinchingbrooke House in Huntingdon which is featured on the books front cover. After leaving school in 1978 he then spent the first 25 years of his working career working for American chemical giants DuPont, working for DuPont in St Neots, Stevenage and also in Cambridge. Since then he has run his own business, and has also worked as an FDAP accredited Drug and Alcohol Worker within Cambridgeshire. Mark has two grown up children, a son named Matthew and a daughter named China, who both live locally in Huntingdonshire.
Mark first became interested in the paranormal following a personal experience which occurred way back in 1976. This experience was to have a profound effect on his life, and this is all fully explained within the book. Mark was only 15 years old at that time, and he has been fascinated by ghosts, apparitions and the paranormal ever since. The paranormal is a very broad subject, and Mark's particular area of interest is predominately Ghosts, Hauntings and Poltergeist phenomena. His early interest was encouraged by his late uncle Trevor Kenward, a long standing and highly respected member of the world famous 'Ghost Club.' The 'Ghost Club' is the oldest psychical research organisation in the world. Its roots date back to the early 1850's, but it was formerly founded at Trinity College, Cambridge in 1862. Former eminent members of the 'Ghost Club' include world famous authors Charles Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle and the celebrated 'Hammer Horror' actor Peter Cushing, along with paranormal experts Harry Price and Peter Underwood. Peter Underwood was actually President of the 'Ghost Club' from 1960 intil 1992 and Peter was the cousin of Mark’s late uncle Trevor Kenward.
Mark was fortunate to receive tuition from his late uncle Trevor Kenward, and he was also privileged to meet and receive help and guidance from Peter Underwood, who was at that time, President of the 'Ghost Club'. For a lengthy period of time Trevor’s wife Marilyn (Mark's Aunt), was responsible for the 'Ghost Clubs' general finances and admin. Mark is now semi-retired and lives back in the village of Southoe, where he grew up. He's a very keen Sportsman and his other passions include reading, 'Classic Rock' music and a liking for traditional English Cider! Thanks to his late father Harold (a born and bred Liverpudlian), Mark is also a lifelong and passionate supporter of Liverpool Football Club.

GREAT JOB MARK
This was an interesting read despite coming across as rather disjointed.
The sections that were pure historical description were well executed and obviously the result of extensive research. These portions were reasonably academic in nature, giving an interesting and enjoyable third party account of the events described. However, the sections that were written from a first person perspective regarding the paranormal investigations themselves seemed to be as if written by another person. The language and construction was overly simplistic and did not mesh well with the general tone of the rest of the book.
Overall this was an interesting tour through the history and geography of Huntingdonshire, directly inspired by the paranormal events associated with this region.
