Editorial Reviews

Review

A set of maxims...that express universal truths where the mundane, the sacred and the divine are intertwined to reach the ultimate goal of life which is God. --- Josemaría Alonso de Linaje, Spanish author and academician

It is an invitation to hope, to love and to be loved. Through these closely related themes, we are discovering the key to love with joy. That key is very important and we use it to convey the message. ---
Ana Maria Romo de Miguel, Spanish editor and educator

For the poet, life fully lived is always an exile, which means discarding his old self to become another self, otherwise it is neither an exile nor is he a poet. ---
Antonio Aguirre, Spanish poet

The art of poetry and writing has made us invincible, therefore victorious, in our personal lives. ---
Guillermo Gómez Rivera, Filipino author and academic director of the Academia Filipina de la Lengua Española of the Real Academia Española

The verses are meant to reflect both universal truths and religious reflections in the course of examining life, offering nuggets of succinct, thought-provoking inspections that poetry readers will find both spiritually rich and deeply evocative. -
Diane Donovan, senior reviewer, Midwest Book Review.

Diptych is a deeply spiritual and philosophical poetry collection. The imageries are empathetic and sympathetic to the common sufferings that humanity endures as it journeys through life. The author's monastic background as an Augustinian friar reveals itself in the Catholic theology that emerges from many of the poems included in this collection. The illustrations and photographs of the sculptures of Spanish Basque artist Vicente Jáuregui enhance the reader's appreciation of the artistry contained in this bilingual book.
