Stand is THE perfect end to a series like no other. It is everything and more.
Smiling through my tears, I am completely floored by Stand. AL Jackson has written one of the finest conclusions to a series I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The boys of Sunder have held my heart from the very start and now that their journey is over I am sitting here feeling so very privileged to have been able to be a part of their world. The outpouring of support, of love and of true brotherhood is never more apparent with these bandmates than it is with Zee's story. The way they all pull together time and again makes this book the true tour de force in a succession of books that has been nothing but masterful from beginning to end.Oh Zee. The man I have been the most curious about does not disappoint. As selfless as he is sexy, finally getting to know him, to learn his truths was not easy. Being the silent backbone of his band, the pain he has carried around with him practically poured out from his pores, yet being able to hold it all in all these years was the most daunting of tasks. I was completely amazed at his strength. At his loyalty to an older brother who he worshiped but could not save. A man holding the world on his shoulders and was dangerously close to losing it all.And Alexis. A heroine who I adored. Her never-ending positive outlook even when her own sister was caught up in a dangerous world. The way she manages to bring some much-needed light to Zee's life when he felt destined to remain in the dark. His Angel. Her tender touches, her drive to make sure Zee knew that love still existed for him, had me clutching my heart with long sighs more times than I can count. Showing Zee that is he was worthy and never giving up on him was simply a beautiful experience.Zee and Alexis, brought together by chance, find their fate in each other and are thankfully both stubborn enough to keep trying even when circumstances work against them. The author beautifully captures what it truly means to put others first and how the ultimate reward of a deep and devoted love can set the most tortured of souls free.I knew Zee's story would be tough to read and with the addition of my hesitance at not wanting my time with the Sunder boys to be over, I unabashedly became a sobbing mess especially towards the end. It's the love these characters have for one another that continues to be the underlying theme throughout this series and it is never more evident here. Because Baz, Lyrik, Austin, Ash and Zee truly STAND by each other and never fail to catch the other when they start to fall. The lucky women who love them are just as exceptional as their flawed men and as I reflect upon my time with this eclectic crew, I know I have been witness to one of the most endearing and magical family of characters I have had the fortune to read.A must read that will pull on your heartstrings and leave you completely satisfied and full of joy.A huge 5+++++++ stars, wishing I could give it more.

This is the perfect ending to the series! I LOVED it!! 😍❤️ And bonus: the twin sister lived in this one!! 😅 Lol 😆; I’ll said it again: don’t know what it is with this author & twins, but one of them seems to almost always be either dead or not make it by the end; but NOT IN THIS ONE! YAY! Finally!! 👏🏻 I wonder if she’ll ever write a series where BOTH twins make it AND both of them find their person by the end of the series?? Hmm 🤔 … That could be an idea for the next series … NO ONE loses a twin & they all find their happy ending!! … 😅 But, anyway, Zee (the MMC) & Alexis (the FMC) are PERFECT for each other & BONUS: they have something in common! They both play the piano (or want to learn in Alexis’ case)! One thing I DO kinda wish is A.L. Jackson should have just made little Liam Mark’s kid (Zee’s brother) instead of making him Zee’s. I think it would have been nicer to see an uncle take care of his nephew for a change & it would have made a lot more sense for the story & for Zee's whole character, I think. (And I’m sorry if this a bit of a spoiler for you; honestly, I saw this coming LONG before it was revealed, so it wasn’t that much of a spoiler for me. 😉) I also would like to ask the author has plans for continuing the series with the “next generation” (Brendon & Kallie, for example, since they’re not really cousins 😉) like she did in her “Fight For Me” series with Frankie & Evan … I think that would make a really nice kinda “extra” love story to have, even if it’s just a short story! 😊 For now, I’m gonna continue reading/listening to “Kiss The Stars” series since it’s kinda like the “continuation” of this series! 👍🏻

I feel like I’ve been reading AL Jackson’s Bleeding Stars series forever, yet it’s nowhere near enough time to spend with the boys of Sunder. Other than Austin’s story, there was no other boy I was more eager to get to spend time with than Zee; he had been such an enigma throughout the entire series I knew his story would be destructive in the best way.
While Zee had always been an important and vital part of the band throughout the Bleeding Stars books, any other knowledge of him was severely limited. Beyond knowing he had taken his brother’s place in the band and that his loyalty was as fierce as it comes, Zee was an unknown. His secrets formed a cloud of protection around him which never let anyone, bandmates included, close enough to penetrate. Getting a glimpse behind the shroud he’d so carefully constructed made my heart break for the boy. Living with the weight and pain of the past had no doubt crushed Zee to the point he couldn’t see there was more for him than the secrets and lies he so faithfully carried alone.
When all those secrets and his carefully constructed life was threatened by one of the single most wonderful and terrifying things he’d experienced, Zee knew his life wouldn’t, couldn’t be the same. Watching Zee grapple with the devastation of the secrets of his past being laid bare and having his last tie to his brother potentially being torn away should he make a single misstep, was painful. He deserved so much more than the life he’d been living, more than keeping the most important part of his life a secret from those people who mattered most to him.
The unraveling of the past and present and each of the secrets that Zee held was masterful. I loved how AL Jackson was able to bring her story full circle and weave those final moments of Mark’s life and what happened between them into a bright new beginning for Zee. It was beautiful to see how Alexis played such a vital role in Zee rediscovering his own life, rather than continuing to live the half-life he’d been living in order to keep everyone else happy. Alexis’s entrance in to Zee’s life, while spine-chilling, was one of the most impactful things a person could experience. I’m very glad AL Jackson wrote it the way she did, because I’m not sure that a less intense experience would have been enough to knock Zee’s world off balance enough for him to see he needed more than he was allowing himself.
While I am sad to be saying goodbye to this world and the boys of Sunder, I am glad AL Jackson sent them off the way she did. I loved getting to check in with all of them one final time and see they’d found all the love and happiness they needed and deserved. These boys and their families will always hold a special place in my heart and I am thankful to Ms. Jackson for bringing their stories to life and sharing their souls with the world.

This was indeed a very satisfying final book in the Bleeding Stars series. We didn’t really know much about Zee but this is really a tale of heartbreak followed by overflowing love. The secrets were well crafted although I did guess one of them early on. (Sorry...no hints!). I loved Alexis, a woman who deserved to love and be loved.

This was a series well worth the reading time and I recommend to all the rockstar story fangirls out there!

What an epic finish to the Bleeding Stars series. I've been waiting for Zee's story since the moment I met him. What an emotional read! Heartbreaking, yet heartwarming. Soulful, beautiful, sizzling connections and most definitely magical. I had so many tears of both love and sadness. My heart is happy regarding the ending but I'm not sure I can deal right now with the fact that this is the end of the series. Book hangover has begun. Thank you A.L. Jackson for all 6 amazing books!

Every book in this series has been excellent. Fully fleshed characters jump off the pages. I've laughed and cried and wanted more every time I've come to the end of one story...and yet it's all one story from the first book to the last. I love these boys and all their girls. This uthor has become one of my faves.
