This is book 2 in the series and it was a really good story. There is also a lot of sex but it has a really great story with lots of issues throughout the story that keep it interesting. I am going to try and not spoil too much of the story.

While this story can stand alone, I really suggest you read book 1 in the series, My Kinda Kisses which stars Payton's sister Jamie. Its a very sweet story and is a great way to introduce the characters.
This story is about the oldest sister, Payton who has had a really rough life and lots of twists and turns in the road. Now she is 33 and owns her own business, a flower shop and also has a really great accountant, Dean.
Dean is a single dad and for most of the book Payton has no idea. Payton and Dean have a strong attraction and they keep having One Night Stands. But Dean does not want to date a client, he has done it with bad results and Payton feels the same way but she also feels she is unlucky in love.
The two in between sexual encounters, try and not be together until they end up at a conference together and share a room and thats when they both decide to try and have a relationship.

This was a sweet story. It is romantic and mostly sweet. Though it also has some moments that will make you cry. Some things happen in this story well that made me cry and well you might cry a little as well. Mostly it was a fun and sweet read and I really enjoyed it. It is very well written and the Summer Sisters are a really fun family especially the grandmother.

I’ve been a fan of Lacey Black’s since she released her first book, Trust Me. I was immediately smitten with her writing style, and the way she vividly captures life and love in a small town. I absolutely love small town romances, especially when big families are involved, and when I find myself wanting to reach for one, it is Lacey Black who always comes to my mind first.

My Kinda Night is the second book in her Summer Sisters series. Set in the beach town of Jupiter Bay, the series is based on the six Summer sisters as they find love in their quaint town. This is Payton, the oldest of the Summer sisters, and Dean’s story. This couple both had some obstacles to overcome before they were willing to open their hearts to more. But the chemistry between them was so palpable, so encompassing, so undeniable that there was no choice but for them to find a way. Add in a healthy dose of Payton’s big, boisterous but loving family, the antics of their hilariously inappropriate grandparents, a show-stealing five-year-old little girl, and an emotional shock that rocked this family to its core, and Black has penned another winner with this fantastic story.

Lacey Black tackled a difficult topic in My Kinda Night, and while I was wrecked by the genuine emotion she delivered here, it was the gorgeous love story between Payton and Dean that took center stage here. Their happily ever after kept me riveted in place – heart racing, cheeks burning and laughing out loud – as I devoured on this beautiful and romantic story. Lacey Black’s My Kinda Night gets five smooches from me!

Oh, Lacey Black!!!! I can not get over these sisters.. And their crazy inappropriate grandparents. I can not wait to see more of this family. I loved you writing. I loved how easy it was to fall for your characters, and I love how you make me laugh.

Payton is in her early thirties, but the oldest sibling of all the sisters. Her family is her everything. They spend one night a month together doing different things, She owns her own flower shop and longs for something more, but thinks it is entirely out of the question because of a secret she has not told no one, and between her business and family, she doesn't have time for much more.

Dean, the quiet "nerd" is busy raising his 5 year old daughter by himself, while working for a company doing taxes. His daughter is and has been all he has time for. He works, to pay this bills, and the rest of the time is for his daughter. He learned along time ago to never mix business with pleasure.

What starts as a business relationship quickly turns into sexual attraction, which in turn, turns to fun with no strings attached. When a business trip for Summer goes south, she has no where to go, but to the only person she knows in town, Dean. The more time they spend together the more feelings get involved, but what happens, when the unexpected happens? When tragedy happens? When secrets come out? Do you stay and fight for what is worth fighting for, or do you go and forget everything, and move on?

I loved this story so much! You broke my heart, and I understand the reasoning, and I respect it. I can NOT wait for Abby and Levi's story! I am forever a fan now, and look forward to all your books.

Dean and Payton are such a great couple and I love the Summer Sisters series. Payton is the eldest Summer sister. She is a florist who runs her own shop and Dean is her accountant. Dean is a single dad accountant who really doesn’t have time to date since his 5 year old daughter is his main priority. Dean and Payton hook up a few times in the last few months since neither one of them are looking for something serious but there is major heat between them. it takes a trip to a conference and a hotel room snafu before these two realize that there can be something there. It was fun reading about this family. These sisters make you wish that they were your sisters and the grandparents are a hoot. They’re absolutely inappropriate and hilarious. There are some laugh out loud moments and some heartbreaking moments. The chemistry between Dean and Payton is through the roof. This book is definitely steamy. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series. A great book.

Dean is such a down to earth guy who has met his match with Payton.
I loved that he knew nothing about her besides that she was a business owner. His interactions with the Summer family were hysterical. The grandparents are just too darn funny.
Payton is such a strong female character and I loved that even though she is the oldest Summer sister, she still has her insecurities.
There were parts of this book that got me a bit teary eyed and heartbroken (you'll know what I mean when you read it) but man was this an awesome book!
I totally recommend reading it and the first book in this series My Kinda Kisses!
