I replaced this camera with another make that has inbuilt GPS and one that comes with power backup.
Here are the cons I have experienced with this dashcam:
-I've had this dashcam for a couple of years and I think the battery died within 6 months of purchase, so now the dashcam has to be powered solely by my car and the date has to be constantly reset if I unplug it.
-The menu has cumbersome, non-intuitive controls for navigating the menus which is frustrating,
-The loop recording feature randomly fails so the memory card will fill up and the dashcam will be on, but won't be recording. There is no indicator letting you know this has happened, so I ended up having to empty the memory card on a weekly basis. Because of this you can't count on the dashcam to be recording when you need it to.
Overall, this is a unreliable long term dashcam and barely serves its core function. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because it was somewhat cheap and did function passably for a few months.
