I am a USA Today Bestselling, British author, from the depths of the rural countryside near London. In a previous life, I was an accountant from the age of twenty-one. I still do that on occasions, but most of my life is now spent intermingling writing while looking after my husband, two children and two cats (probably in the inverse order to the one listed!).

When I have some spare time, I can also be found writing poetry, baking cakes (and eating them), or behind a camera snapping like a mad paparazzi. 
I'm an avid reader who turned to writing to combat my depression and anxiety. I have a love of traveling and like to bring this to my stories to give them the air of reality. 


I like my heroes hot and hunky with a dirty mouth, my heroines demure but with spunk, and my books full of dramatic suspense.

This is the first book by Anna Edwards. It's a fabulous debut. The story has great pace and characters. She always leaves you wondering what will happen next.

Amy is a twenty-one year old who dances in her uncle's strip club. Because of who owns the strip club, she is never made to have to perform like the other girls. Although she is naive to many things, her strength of character is what pushes her above the rest. The chick has fight in her.

While on holiday, she meets James. He is a self-made billionaire with many layers. They meet while on holiday in Lanzarote. He wine her, dined her, did her and left abruptly. Like left. Like left left. It made me pause with the WTF face. It was moments like that and many more like it that kept me reading. It's what made this read of a ride so interesting. That's not to say Amy didn't have her secrets to. Cause girlfriend certainly did. It's 194 pages of intrigue, action and a heated love affair you won't want to put done.

Fantastic banter, along with great chemistry, between James and Amy really make this book. I really love how they grow together in such a short time. James' mom and sister are great supporting characters and help provide some laughter amongst what could be a lot of doom and gloom.

As I mentioned, the chemistry is terrific. Explosive, even. 🔥❤🎉

Things are definitely NOT all fun and games for this couple. Past trauma surfaces and has to be dealt with. In addition, things go decidedly topsy-turvy in the present and come to an unexpected ending, which is really a cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here.

I read my copy of the book and listened to an author copy of the audio. I really liked the narrator, Kyo Sija. Of course, I'm often a sucker for a British accent. 🥰🎧🇬🇧🥰

Amy and James meet while on vacation and the sexual chemistry between these two is wild! This is Anna Edwards debut novel and it is a well written story line with well developed characters. Surrendered Control is a hot sexy ride that gets better with each page you turn. It's full of suspense and it pulled me in from the start. There is a cliffhanger but lucky for me I already have Book 2 Divided Control on my kindle waiting for to go.

You travel with the characters to faraway places which I found enjoyable. Development of characters, revealing secrets & an unexpected kidnapping with shootout helped to make this book entertaining.

There are some books that you can’t put down, that stay with you long after you finish reading and leave you needing more. Surrendered Control is that type of book.

Anna Edwards does a masterful job at extracting every emotion possible from a reader. The character development and world development of this book is incredible. The journey and heartache of both main characters cannot adequately be described in a review; I can only say that this is one of the best books I’ve read. It had a true level of complexity between two people in a relationship that is rarely seen.

The path through this book was so addictive that I had to surrender control and finish it in one setting regardless of the fact I needed sleep. It was absolutely addictive and Anna Edwards is now on my favorite author list. I immediately bought book 2 because I need more. I highly recommend this book.

James is a control freak, caused by an incident in his past. When he meets Amy, the sparks fly.

Amy is naïve or so it seems. She sees things but chooses to ignore them, not dealing with them.

Amy and James have a relationship of many ups and downs. Just when you think they are on track, another curve ball is thrown.

Amy finds out things she never knew about her childhood and family. James, it would seem knew all along. He also does the one that that she finds unforgivable...he deceived her, after he promised not to.

This is an intense and gripping story that reels you in and holds you all the way up to the end of the book. The story is brilliant, the characters real, raw and emotional.

There is no HEA in this book. Hopefully in the next one.

I loved this book and highly recommend it to all.

Incredible debut novel by Anna Edwards! The characters are complex and well written, with intense chemistry and some very steamy love scenes. The story has a fresh contrast of light and dark, suspenseful plot mingled with fun banter between Amy and James. What I really enjoyed most was the fresh take on James as a Dominant and the evolution of him in that role, what drives him to be controlling with all things in his life and his internal struggle and fears.. his story is not what you expect. Amy is smart and independent, totally relatable and a good match for this strong headed male. There are some suspenseful twists that keep you engaged throughout the story. I definitely recommend this novel and can't wait to dive into the second novel now, Divided Control!

DUMB! Amy is supposed to trust James so easily when she couldn’t trust her uncle? Why doesn’t james exposé her uncle? Why is James helping her? Amy makes it sound like she’s doing James a favour by accepting his help. What’s James secret? James has an entire file on Amy but tells her little about himself. His secret is lame. NOW all of a sudden, Amy remembers how her uncle’s thugs beat the dancers? Dumb!

Absolutely loved this book! Loved the characters, both the main ones and the side characters. Loved the chemistry between James and Amy. It was an exciting story, loved the action in it. Liked that's written by a British author and is set in Britain, made a nice change, as most books in this genre are set in US. Quite liked that James was seriously flawed as a dom, as he doubted himself (although normally I like strong confident very dominant male leads) . Liked the exotic locations, India and the Maldives. Off to buy the next book Divided Control now! I want to know what happens next!

This was my first read by Anna Edwards and firstly I have to say that I found the writing "stiff" in places but it was a good read and as the authors debut book it didn't hold me back from reading it until the end.
Amy and James met in holiday and had no intention of seeing each other again but life had other plans bringing these two together again for some of the worst times of their life.
Billionaires.. liars .. cheats... twists.. love.. happiness... honesty.. this book has it all.
