These tongue brushes are awesome! I was previously using a brush/scraper combo from G.U.M. which barely got to the back of the tongue. I noticed an immediate difference after using this. The brush is designed in such a way to avoid the gag reflex so you can easily reach the back of the tongue where most bacteria is. The large flat round head is great too because it covers a greater area in a short time.

I do not use the tongue gel, the brush is good enough on its own. Occasionally I will use a little bit of non-toxic toothpaste. I still use a scraper after the brush because it feels cleaner.

I didn't experience the bleeding others have mentioned. The bristles are shorter and firmer than other brushes that I've tried but not so much that it would cause discomfort. Just remember you're brushing your tongue and not a burnt pot. Go easy and you should be fine.
