“What are you wearing under this dress?” he asked, his mouth brushing hers, the words whisper-soft.

I loved Issac's and Stas' chemistry, I mean what a couple! Their chemistry was played just right, there was the banter and the flirting, there was the tension and the seduction, there was most definitely the sexy element. Altogether though the thing that drew me to them as a couple was just this freshness. I enjoyed reading about them and it felt like I was reading PNR with fresh eyes. If a book can do that then it has to be made of good stuff, right?

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story grabbed my attention and captivated it for the entire book. Lexi C. Foss is a gifted author with a brilliant mind, she creates fascinating and imaginative characters and storylines. This first book of her “Immortal Curse” series features Astasiya “Stas” Devenport and Issac Wakefield as the lead characters, several secondary characters are also introduced and I am looking forward to learning more about them as the series continues. Astasiya knew she differed from her friends she remembered being told that it was important that she hide her gifts, she also remembers how her parents were tragically killed. When she meets Issac Wakefield and then learns of a whole new world she is not surprised with what she learns, she actually wants to learn more and Issac is just the person to do that. Issac is all about deals and avenging his sisters death and Stas can help him with that. She understand she is his pawn but she is willing to play. She finds out who and what she is as well as all the other supernatural beings. The one thing Issac did not take into consideration was falling for Stas, so that changed things up for him, another huge twist did as well. This is a great start to a series, we learn a lot about the world dynamics and all the different characters and players in the world, the author lays down the foundation of what is to come in the rest of the series. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, some mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some hot romance. Lexi C. Foss, thank you for another awesome story!

🎧📚🎧 Sara Puckett and Kale Williams are the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They do an awesome job portraying each character, giving each their own distinct voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. They have a complete understanding of each role they play and take that role and make it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture the character to sound. Sara Puckett played Astasiya’s role with perfection, Kale Williams did the same for Issac, both were just as awesome playing the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

The story Blood Laws (Immortal Curse Series Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss is a paranormal romance book. This is the amazing story of Stas and Issac. This is the first book I have read by the author and I can honestly say it will not be the last. She creates a story that will have you hooked from the first chapter and quickly turning pages to find out what happens next. It creates a world where two races are in conflict with each other and laws are set that can mean death if broken. The story has plenty of detail and I loved reading the background information on both of the races involved. I also loved the characters of Stas and Issac. Stas is not completely human. She has learned to keep her psychic power of bending other to her will a secret. She has learned from the past what it means if she doesn’t. Stas meets Issac under an unusual and stressful situation. They then meet again and Issac makes a seductive proposition. Stas is very bold about putting her own stipulations on his proposal. Who really is Issac? Their passion for each other grows. Then secrets are revealed. Will these secrets tear these two soulmates apart?

Issac is a man that is CEO of a pharmaceutical company and per the society pages one of the hottest men available. He also is not human. Issac has a plan when he meets Stas and quickly puts it into motion. Once he spends more time with Stas his feelings for her grow and be begins to have doubts as to his plan. Issac is someone that doesn’t play by the rules. He takes chances. He, however, is not taking any chances with Stas and her life. When she is in danger he will do anything, including endangering his own life, to save her. Will Issac be able to keep Stas safe from harm? I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance. This story does include adult situations. Stas and Issac’s love story is red hot! It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

Anyone that knows me, knows that PNR is one of my favourite genres. I get really excited when I find a new paranormal romance. Now some are absolutely awful, but then there are these, hidden gems just waiting to be discovered.

Blood Laws is one such book. It's a continuing series with an overarching plot and is the debut novel for this author.

Stas is an immortal - only she isn't aware of it - until that is, she meets Issac, another immortal. Only Stas and Issac are meant to be enemies.

Issac, being a Ichorian isn't supposed to fall for a Hydrian - he's supposed to kill them - but in the beginning he finds that Stas may prove useful and sets out to use her to get revenge on the man responsible for the death of his sister. However as time goes on he can't and doesn't want to deny the attraction.

As a PNR, there's lots of drama, tension and a little bloodshed. Theres the mystery and the otherworldly-ness. To me, a good book, whether it be PNR, contemporary, sci-fi, horror or any genre, it has to all flow and have a consistency and this book had it in spades.

I didn't want to put it down, like at all. But real life got in the way, however, as soon as I picked that kindle right back up, I was there, smack dab in the story. It pulled me in and I love it when a book does that, it takes you away.

There's also plenty of hot immortals along the way. The way the author has described them gets me all hot and bothered and there are a fair few to choose from. It's not just the characters you can easily depict either, the way the scenarios are described are to the point and not overly detailed and I prefer that.

I loved Issac's and Stas' chemistry, I mean what a couple! Even though this story is imagination at its best, I never questioned the details or doubted the very convincing paranormal elements.

There is so much to this story that makes it truly spectacular and just so perfect. I could rave about it for hours. I was so immersed in this story that the real world faded away. When the end came, I didn’t want to leave. I wanted to stay with Astasiya and Issac and continue their story. I am on a book ‘High’, and I don’t want to come down. I need the next book TODAY!!!!
A truly exhilarating read!!!!

I do love a good dark PNR book as it is my favourite genre so when i was told about this book it ticked all the boxes for me,and as some of my friends put me onto this new Author Lexi C Foss i was intrigued, so i got comfy and started to devour this book.

Wow to say i loved this book is a understatment as the book flowed along at a fabulous pace where it kept me glued from page one till the very end about Stas and Issac's story.

Stas has lost a very good friend in Owen unbeknowing to her he was a Hydrian,which is the start of how this leads her into the world of Ichorian's and Hydrian's.Stas is a Hydrian and Issac is a Ichorian which are motal enimies, but the attraction between these two they can't
deny, even though it is desined not to last.

I loved Stas and Issac characters and the chemistry that they shared,there was plenty of hot steamy sex throughout this bookwhich liked,plusStas has lots of secrets from her past that she has yet to reveal,which i can't wait to find out what it all means.

This was a different paranormal book from the ones i usually read but Lexi is very clever as she got me hooked plus got me sucked into this world of different species, where there are hot immortals that i will want to read about in her future books in this series.There are quite a few hot paranormal males throught this story which i now can't wait for there story's to unfold.

This storyline had me totally hooked as i know there is alot more that we need to find out and what a ending this was, i never saw that
coming which leads to the next book and it left me wanting more from this fabulous Author and what she has instore for us readers,she is a very clever lady.I am so glad i don't have to long to wait for the next installment.

So personally I’m not a huge fan of 3rd person books. I found I got confused more than once by the different characters in this story. HOWEVER...I loved this book. The world is different and exciting. Probably the only thing I struggled with was I found the MC to be a bit contradictory. But that could be a personal issue. This has not deterred me from continuing with the series. I’m intrigued by this series and can’t wait to keep going.
