Loved the hydration pack! It's waterproof I went under a waterfall and everything stayed dry (except for the pockets that wrap around your waist) and it's comfortable, there was no chafing or rubbing and I was in a tank top or bikini the entire time. The pack fit nicely to my body, it didn't cause any strain to my back or hips. Most of the time I forgot it was even there. It was also high enough where it didn't get in my way when I wanted to sit down. The bladder is thick and kept my water cool the entire day and the insulated hose was nice as well. The hose didn't keep the water very cool but I noticed a difference between the insulated hose and non insulated hose. To keep myself from having a few sips or warmer water I just blew my water back into my bladder after I was done drinking. We hiked through lots of mud so the covered drinking piece was extremely nice as I didn't have to worry about it getting full of mud. The bladder is also very easy to fill with water and ice and easy to clean due to the large opening. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a smaller pack, but if you don't have to carry much then it is perfect. When the bladder is full it takes most of the large compartment. I could fit a waterproof phone case in there as well as my underwater camera. The vertical pocket in the front is there I fit my IPhone 6s Plus, selfie stick, and a few other odds and ends and pockets that wrap around my waist I had my wallet, phone lens, bandaids, small tube of sunscreen and other small odds and ends needed when hiking. The waist pockets will fit and iPhone 6s but will not fit an IPhone 6s Plus. Like I said, the pack is small and when the bladder if full it will not fit a jacket or sweatshirt. You can tie it around the outside of the bag but it won't fit on the inside.I also used the strap at the top to hold onto my flip flops and my hand sanitizer.

Let me preface this by saying that I am writing this review based on only one use of the product. I recently purchased the hydration pack to use during a Spartan Super Race. I had been told that I needed to purchase a more expensive model from a competitor to handle the rigors of the race but having already laid out a significant sum for the race entrance and other gear I looked for a more affordable hydration pack and came upon the Camden Gear product. I read the reviews and decided to take the plunge on it. The backpack was very impressive in how well it held up, particularly when I was dragging it through a 1/4 mile stretch of dirt/mud while going under barb wire. I would have to throw it forward every once in a while and it held up great. The bag worked perfectly throughout the race and the bladder and hose off the bladder never had any problems. Very easy to fill. Super easy to clean both the bladder/hose in sink and I washed the backpack afterwards in washer machine in a pillow case (to make sure none of the bungees got tangled on oscillator). The bag fit perfectly on my frame (5'11" 175 lbs), and even while filled with the 1.5 liters and various GU packets, Cliff energy blocks, etc. did not feel heavy or awkward at all. The only "con" I would say on the design of the backpack is that the zipper pockets on lower waist clips are damn near impossible to access while you are wearing the bag. I would have to take the bag off to access them (or obviously to access the main pocket on the back).

The waist pockets are large enough to carry 3-4 GU packets in each. The main pocket was enough to accommodate some forearm pads, more energy bars, a ziplock bag with some first aid stuff. Would definitely be able to hold a phone, wallet, keys and a snack.

All in all I would recommend this product definitely for casual use (hiking, biking) and although only through one go around so far, Obstacle Course Racing like Spartan or Tough Mudder. I'll continue to update on the condition and how well it fares at additional OCRs.

I just used the pack on a long run (11 miles) for the first time and it was great! I did a short run (4 miles) the day before and made adjustments along the way. My arms rubbed the shoulder straps a bit, but my husband helped me make adjustments for a better fit. We actually tied together the excess on the shoulder straps higher up on my waist to pull the should straps in more toward the center of my chest. So, I had the waist strap buckled, the chest strap buckled, and then a third, makeshift strap in the middle secured to make the fit tight to my body. On the long run, my arms didn't rub at all and the pack sat nicely on my back. I didn't even notice it was there! The hydration tube was easily accessed during the run and the bite valve worked great. The side pockets on the waist belt allowed easy access to my iPhone 5 and it even fit my husband's iPhone 6 Plus, with a case! Very roomy, and there are two side pockets with zipper encloses, so I'll probably fill the other pocket with snacks for longer runs and hikes. I really enjoyed the whole experience and had one of the best runs. I live in a very humid, warm climate, so having enough fluids for long runs is really important, and the weight of the fluid wasn't noticeable at all. Very impressed and satisfied. In fact, it was raining off and on on the short run and I was able to store a light jacket in the bungee cord area in the front. Nice additional feature! I also plan to use this pack for long walks with our puppy to hold her water, water bowl, and many training treats. Just enough space for all our essentials. The only caveat, this is my first experience with a pack for running, but I image more experienced users will be pleased as well. I didn't want to spend too much on a pack not knowing if I would like running with one, and since this one was so reasonably priced, I went with it. Glad I did! Thanks for a great pack!

I'll update this if anything changes long-term, but after a 2 day shakedown, this thing is fantastic. I bought it for mountain biking, I wanted something small and unobtrusive to carry water and a few essentials(phone, pump&patches, multi tool, and some snacks) and it's the perfect size for what I wanted. I'm a bigger dude at 6'3 220 with fairly wide back/shoulders and it still fits great with plenty of adjustability.

At some point the design of the bladder must have been updated, because the version I received looks upgraded compared to the pictures some reviewers have uploaded, and the update is definitely for the better. The mouth is huge, makes cleaning and adding ice easy, and the grab handle around the mouth to hold on to while you fill it is such a clever touch. The material is thick, and the whole thing feels high quality. Mine had no leaks, and a mild plastic taste that was gone as soon as I took the advice of other reviewers and used a water/vinegar mix on the bladder and hose. The hose is also really nice, the soft neoprene cover is a nice touch, as is the mouthpiece itself detaching from the hose so you can give everything a really good clean.

The bladder also clips into the hydration pouch area on my OGIO motorcycle backpack(i have to unclip the mouthpiece to thread the hose through the opening on the backpack before putting it back on, but it works), so another added bonus.

The backpack itself is also well constructed, and as a nice bonus fairly water resistant, as it kept everything in the main compartment dry in moderate rain yesterday. It's not waterproof though, so if you plan to use it for kayaking or rafting or something, still keep your electronics inside waterproof pouches.

Overall super pleased so far. We'll see how it holds up long term as I don't intend to baby this thing.
