Finley Reeves is the queen of bad mistakes. Fresh off a bad divorce, she decides to rebuild her life from the ground up - starting with a fixer-upper that's got more leaks than the Titanic. Deciding to tackle this project alone might be her biggest mistake of all.... That is, until Noah Thompson shows up at her front door like a knight in a shining tool belt and makes her an offer she'd be crazy to refuse.
Noah's sexy, rugged, and good with his hands, but Finley swears she doesn't need his help - in the basement, or in the bedroom. Can this unlikely couple build a future together? Or will this be one fixer-upper that is better off left alone?

The house she brought is not far off being condemned.
Noah is asked by his sister to go have a look at Finley's house.
Noah immediately offers to help and over ry he course of a few months the house becomes a home. And Finley and Noah become an item.
All their families get on well together.
A great story that was a pleasure to read.
A very light, touching romantic read.
Finley is recently divorced, sold her house and found a fixer-upper in New Hampshire to work on. Moving away from Texas is bittersweet. She is sad to leave her family but relieved to get a chance to start fresh.
Noah has a construction business and when his realtor sister insists he stop by the house she just sold and check out a few tings for the new owner he doesn't expect the woman to be the lady from the pharmacy that nearly hit his truck on her way i the parking lot. Nor does he expect his attraction to be so strong.
Finley is surprised by Noah's insistence to help with her renovations and while she tries to say no, this is one time she is okay with him not taking it for an answer. The friendship between these two characters builds throughout the story, providing Finley with a bond she hd never experienced before and allowing Noah to slowly make his way through all the walls she built around her heart.
Well paced and well written, I absolutely enjoyed this story and cannot wait for more of these Thompson siblings. Up next: Fix Me Not and Fix My Fall. Enjoy!

Finley is 35, recently divorced. She was living in Texas with her husband of 10 years when she decided to start her life over in a new place, a new state and a new house. She buys a house on-line in New Hampshire, packs her trailer and moves. She bought the house "as is" and sight unseen. Something about the house just spoke to her. She knows it is in bad repair but she is hoping it is not too bad and she intends to completely redo the whole house herself. She has zero experience.
She is almost devastated when she sees the house. Having been sick with a cold for the past week, driving from Texas to New Hampshire and then finding the house a complete wreck she is about read to toss in the towel. She is in way over her head. Her real estate agent, Abby, knows that she desperately needs help, she also knows that her brother Noah is the perfect man to help her fix things.
When he goes to see the house and to offer Finley his expertise, he has no idea that he is about to change his life. I loved this guy. He was so great to Finley and when he realizes that he is falling for her he sets out to win her over. His big family gets in his way a few times but they all act out of love. It is a great romance, a fun, light-hearted, entertaining love story. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
I loved that the story is modern day, there are some steamy scenes once they face the fact that they are falling for each other and realize it is exactly what they want. So, if that is a problem for you, be aware. However, Noah is not only a great contractor but also a professional in the bedroom. He really sets the sheets on fire. Even there they both still have fun. It is just a good read, a good story and I definitely recommend it. There are no bad guys, no violence, no drugs, crime, etc. Just a good story about two every day people finding their HEA.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 9/21/18

I also felt that it was too descriptive and I wished that the author would have gone more in-depth with the emotions of both Noah and Finley. Like how she was getting out of the dark phase of her divorce and discovering new feelings. I also would have appreciated how Noah developed his feelings toward Finley instead of just saying it was love at first sight and he wanted her in his bed.
Even at the end, the happily ever after is a little downplayed.
