    The MK-4 is a decent enough microphone for its budget. It has much of the characteristic harshness typical in sub-$500 condensers, but other than that has a fairly warm and even tone overall. I don't know if it is any better than other mics in the same price range, but certainly is a contender.

    The headphones that came with this kit, though, are absolutely awful. I tried them, and promptly boxed them back up, never to be used again.
