Usually, you would not get Titanium, Sapphire, Chronograph and Eco Drive (Light powered) within this range of price.

I was looking for a everyday-use watch with Date, Chronograph, Eco-drive, mineral crystal and titanium (if possible).
It took me some days reviewing dozens of other watches until I found this one.

Pluses:
The watch is really lightweight. This is a big plus if you do not want to wear something really heavy on your wrist.
It is well constructed and, given the materials used, it has the appearance of watches costing >$500.
You can wear it on every ocasion, both casual or elegant.
Eco drive (no batteries required)
Scracth resistant (Sapphire crystal)
Easy reading ( not so many indicators and a good contrast )

Cons:
Tacograph feature works as expected. 1/5 second accuracy is usually good enough.
Not one of the best ones, but works fine.

I purchased this time piece about 2 months ago . I was looking to treat my self to new a watch I did my research on line on different brands and styles of watches . I came across the Citizen Mens CA0020-56E Eco Drive Titanium Watch.
This watch is well put together . It is a very attractive piece to look at . It stands out when you wear it to work or even a casual night out . I love the fact that people can't help but to stare at your wrist trying to get a glimpse of it when having a conversation amongst friends .I've had nothing but great compliments about it . Does not scratch as easy as some reviewers may say . It takes its bumps and bruises well .I look forward to purchasing another watch from the Citizen Eco Drive Titanium collection. Most importantly the price was great at Amazon. I would highly RECOMMEND this watch to anyone who is looking to invest in a BEAUTIFUL TIME PIECE.....

After 4 Years, Good Watch

I've been wearing this watch daily for four years. I purchased it because I wanted a watch with a sapphire crystal, black dial, solar or kinetic power, and a chronograph. Some thoughts on it:

- Eco Drive: The Echo Drive hasn't missed a beat. When I'm not wearing it, I place it on my dresser. I don't make an effort to keep it next to a light and it has kept going. It seems accurate as most quartz watches are, as I reset it about once a month and it is off by a few seconds. How long will this last? 10 years? 20 Years? Eventually something will have to be replaced- battery, solar panel, movement. When it does go I don't know if a watchmaker will have the parts to fix it. But I think this will last about as long as you can ask a quartz watch.

- Sapphire Crystal: I'm fairly hard on my watches and my watches with mineral crystals get scratched within a few weeks. The sapphire crystal really holds up, as it still has no scratches. I wish Citizen would offer more Echo Drive watches with sapphire crystals.

- Titanium: It's titanium, so the watch is very light and comfortable to wear. However, titanium is soft. The band scratches fairly easily, but with its finish I don't think it looks bad at all. However, the bezel has taken a beating with multiple deep scratches and chips where I have inadvertently whacked it into something.

- Illumination. I was disappointed to find out that the hour and minute hands have only slim strips of illum. I was also disappointed to see that there are only tiny squares of illum at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions. However, they do work fairly well. When I wake up in the early hours of the morning, my dark-adjusted eyes can read the time.

- Aesthetics. This is a sharp looking watch, but not my style. I prefer diver or GMT style watches.

- Chronograph: The chronograph is pretty neat and a nice talking point with others. It works well, but the minute hand can be a bit tricky to read accurately. After hundreds of times of my kids starting, stopping, and resetting it to watch it go around it now resets to about 2 seconds instead of 0. But it still works.

I'm retiring this watch indefinitely because I want to try out an automatic watch and I never was in love with its look. I do think Citizen makes a great quality watch!

The watch band on this model is crap. The pins holding the links together keep coming out and getting lost. I have had this watch for less than a year and this has been happening since the 6 month mark. I like the look and feel of the watch. But I can't even wear it now because the band is broken. For a watch of this price, the quality just isn't there over the long term. Choose another watch if you want to wear it for longer than a few months.

I received this watch on the day it was scheduled to be delivered. Originally, I had purchased this watch from Macy's; however, I noticed that Amazon.com was selling it for approximately $50.00 less than the Macy's sale price of $343.00 (this included a 20% off, +addt'l 10% off applied by the Macy's salesperson). I returned the watch to Macy's.

Of note, I did pay $15.00 to have links removed from the band in order to have it fit my wrist appropriately; Macy's offered that as part of their purchase. The jeweler I took the watch to indicated that he was surprised at the tools he had to use to remove the pins/links and that he could see why doing it yourself at home would have been challenging. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would certainly make it again. Plus, I enjoy the size of the watch and how light it is because of the titanium. Comparable watches in the same size are much heavier; of course, if you like the heavy watch feel, this one probably isn't for you.

Feel like a million bucks while wearing this watch. Most importantly it is so versatile simple and elegant enough to serve as a dress watch to a fancy dinner or a sporty chrono to show off on the track. Also knowing its made to stand up to all kinds of abuse I feel comfortable enough to take it to work (busy hospital floor). After being unhappy with my recent purchase of Seiko 5 (just looked and felt too cheap),I spend months looking a for a perfect everyday use watch and the combo of features on this was too good to pass up for $270 (45% off during boxing week sale). Seriously this watch has hardy sapphire crystal, titanium body and band, 100 WR and, Solar Eco Drive to last you for years without usual battery changes and useful chrono to time your runs! Even paying $350 for this much cool features would be a bargain. Not to mention it sits perfectly on my rather small wrist. Not having tried it before buying I was concerned it might be too big as I cant stand the recent trend to wear golden bling headlights. Also the watch is classically understated, no distracting tachy (which was a def positive for me) with a clean face and timeless design that will stand up to trends over time which is important for eco-drive watch you will cherish for years. Overall very happy with the purchase. Wouldn't trade this baby for any fancy goldplated Rolex.

It was a little bit more than what I had wanted to spend but the price on amazon was tempting and I'm so glad I did. It's an incredibly beautiful watch that looks like you paid good money for it but isn't showy, and it's very durable.
