I waited for what felt like an eternity for this book. But OMG! it was absolutely worth the wait!! Angel & Mians story stole my heart, what's left of it! The story was gripping, sexy & the characters oh my ovaries!!
The Bandit, Angel, Mian, Lucas & Z will leave you wanting more & more!
I'm so glad that Bebe decided that she wasn't going to finish Angel & Mians story here! There are so many different avenues for this to go down & actually become an amazing series!!
I for one will be first in line for the next instalment!!

This is a brilliant story of love and vengeance, crime and obsession, with beautifully drawn characters and a cliffhanger that is oddly satisfying in both its promise of more and its fulfilment of the promise Mian made to the man who kidnapped her son.
This is one terrific dark read.

I love books that want to make me want to know more and more and that made questions pop up in my brain. B.B. Reid achieved it with this book. Right from the start I had questions that I wanted to have the answer too but had to wait for a veeeeery long time. It made me crazy ;)
I think the main theme of this book is betrayal. But it's also about fear- fear of loving someone, fear of losing someone, fear of doing the wrong thing, fear of... This book is also about love, hate, revenge, fighting, surviving and finding out the truth.
The main characters of this book are Mian and Angel. Both are the children of powerful and criminal men and when they were forced together, feelings developed both didn't welcome. They tried hating each other but with each year it would become harder- especially for Angel. And then one day everything they knew were destroyed by death and both wouldn't see each other until Mian was forced to do something that would secure the health of her baby. The problem is: she was caught and now she has to suffer of the consequences by the man she hated and loved at the same time. A man who wants revenge for his father's death and one who wants to see her dead too. But nothing is as it seems and after some time Angel starts to questions everything.
The truth will come out, but how long will it take and what does it mean for everyone involved?
Someone will be hurt. Someone will die. Someone will suffer.
But the end is not the end.
My opinion:
As I already mentioned- this book made me want to keep and keep reading. At 3am I had to stop though, but I couldn't wait to pick it up to read the rest as soon as I was able to. This story sucked me in and I wanted to know everything. I wanted answers and revelations. And I think I got (almost) all of them. I can't wait to read book No. 2 to get the answers to the rest of the questions
SPOILER START Why did Angel want revenge when he knew the whole time that it wasn't Mians dad who killed his dad? Why did he want to kill her? Because he knows about the book? Does Angel know his dad had an affair with Mians Mom? SPOILER END
I loved the characters. Not only Mian, her son and Angel, but also the side-characters-> Z and Lucas.
I loved how they all kept each other on their toes. I loved their banter and how they fought each others with words and just in general the way they interacted with each other was sth. I enjoyed reading about. Although the guys were a-holes, they also were funny and great.
I loved how conflicted Angel was with everything regarding his revenge and Mian. Somehow I just wish it wouldn't have taken so long for him to do the first step. I liked how Z provoked him though and how Lucas tried to get him to see everything clearly.
The final scene at the end- it was disappointing. It was short and over much too soon. SPOILER START I was constantly thinking about who stole the book and was, after reading a couple of chapters, suspecting his mother or her new husband to be the thief. Well... it wasn't really a surprise then. SPOILER END
The writing style was good even though there were quite a lot grammar/spelling mistakes or missing words in it. But they didn't stop the reading flow.
The book could have been a bit darker. Angel, Z. and Lucas are criminals but there weren't really scenes where they killed someone or whatever.
As I already said- I can't wait to start reading book 2. I need more of Angel and Mian. I need to know what happens to them. I want a Happy End :P
It was my first BB Reid book and I think after this series there will be more of her books I will read :)

You want an honest review? You'll get an honest review because five big fat stars to this book. What I love about B.B. Reid is that she never fails to write a crazy storyline but still have it so believable. These things can happen and do happen all the time and we just don't hear about it. It's crazy and wild and so entertaining, I just love reading her books. If you love a book with an dominating alpha male then look no further than B.B. Reid. If you've read the Broken Love series by her, then you know about the fluttering feeling you get in your belly. This book also brings on that same feeling throughout.
Angel Knight is a ruthless killer. He will do anything to honor his family's name and if that means stealing a baby and it's mother then that is what he's going to do. He's a leader and has no time for play. He's serious at all times, he's dominating and scary. But, if you like that sort of thing then he'll also be sexy as hell. Mian Ross is a daddy's girl, but she's also not the spoiled little brat she once was. She's a mother now, and she will do what it takes to put food on the table and clothes on their backs. She's not afraid to do what she needs to do in order to survive and if that means stealing from Angel then that is what she's going to do.
If you weren't aware, this is no longer a standalone book. As B.B. Reid decided while writing, she couldn't fit everything she wanted in one book. There's just too much that needs to happen to conclude this wild ride. The book does leave off on a cliffhanger but it's an amazing cliffhanger. When you read the last page you'll be jumping from your seat. You'll want to read the next book right away, and though you can't, that's the fun of it in my opinion. I usually hate cliffhangers but with this one I closed the book going 'Damn, you good Bebe'.
It's sexy, it's dark and it will make you feel things. I felt all emotions running through me as I read this. Not that it's a very romantic book, but I felt all seriousness, heartbreak, threats, sexiness, etc. I felt it all like I was in the story with these crazy characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone over the age of eighteen as it's definitely not suitable for younger readers. It includes a lot of violence, intense sexual scenes and a lot of swearing. Obviously if you are a mature reader and into that sort of thing then this book if definitely for you. It releases November 1st, 2016 on all electronic devices. It will also be available for paperback at a later date.

This is dark romance as its best. I’m just going to say this quickly – IeffinloveAngelKnight. Phew, that felt good!! He is the epitome of an anti-hero. I loved and hated him in equal measure. I ranted and raved and called him all the names under the sun, yet he still managed to worm his way under my skin. When you ‘get’ why he does things, you realise you’ve got problems. If it’s wrong, then I don’t wanna be right *shrugs*
“One day, someone is going to cause you pain. When that day comes, you show them what hells feels like.”
Mian Ross hasn’t had an easy life, but she hasn’t lost her fight. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for her son, even face the Devil himself. I felt Mian’s despondency at times leaping off the page but her inner feistiness shone through. Desperate times call for desperate measures, but this time she may have bitten off more than she can chew.
Angel + Mian = panty melting hotness
Then add Angel’s two ‘brothers’ to the mix; Lucas and Z. What can I say about these two?? O-M-G!! It doesn’t even begin to cover it. I’m secretly hoping they get their own book in the future.
At times, I honestly thought I had everything worked out and then I’d be hit with another revelation or twist I wasn’t expecting. As the story unfolds over the past and present, the suspense is ramped up right till the climatic end where I was like “WHAT THE WHAT?!” Yeah, confession time <– that was not what I said, but I’m trying to be polite. Whaaaa? Don’t laugh - wonders will never cease you know??
This is one heart that’s definitely been stolen by The Bandit.
