The keyboard itself is decent. Not as solidly built as a MS Sidewinder or eluminX, but sturdier than a logitech K120. It has a similar form factor to the sidewinder, and if I didn't know any better, I may call it a Sidewinder "clone" at 1/3 the price. The surface of the keyboard (not the keys) is a rubberized material, as found on some mice these days. Not sure if it adds any traction, but does get shiny in spots from the oils in my fingertips. Not a big deal. There are nipples on the F, ,J, and 5 (keypad) keys for those proper typists out there. I don't use the macro keys so can't comment on those, but the keyboard works fine in MacOS otherwise. I don't find myself having any difficulty with typing, but I'm used to the likes of laptop-ish eluminX and non-standard Sidewinder keyboards.
The illumination is awesome. The large print keys are awesome also, Who'd have ever guessed to make letters that fill the size of the key instead of tiny print in the upper left corner? Not everyone is a 20 year old Californian with perfect vision and a state mandated tribal armband tattoo. These keys are visible, and dimmable via the dial in the upper right. Cyan or Yellow works well during the day for extra visibility, and red or purple or any other color for night.
The only thing "weird" about the keys is that on keys with a caps function (E.g., 8 *, or 5 %), the caps character is at the bottom of the key instead of the top. When typing in a drunken or otherwise impaired stupor, I find myself second-guessing sometimes ... "Wait, do I hold shift for a curly brace or square bracket?? I can't remember!!"
I just tried out the media keys in MacOS and the following work for iTunes: play/pause, vol +/-, skip back, skip fwd, and mute. Shortcuts and macros don't seem to work out of the box. Not sure if there is software or configuration required.
All in all this keyboard is worth the price I think. I'll update in 30-45 days and see how the keys hold up and if they start to stick at all. But for right now they're smooth.
UPDATE: 10/28/2014
Still no issues. The replacement is still going strong. I've played a little Skyrim with it and it works fine, of course, I'm no Korean Starcraft player executing 180 moves per minute.
The keys make a little noise when typing on them, but I tend to be hard on a keyboard, so, you may not experience the noise. They feel great, easy to type with. The keys are fairly level with each other from row to row, sort of like a laptop keyboard. The keyboard does have legs in the back that raise it, for me, a comfortable level. It does have rubber rectangles on the bottom and doesn't seem to move while typing.
The one I bought has 5 colors, turquoise, green, blue, red and purple . Each color has a different light level to it, just because of the color. I personally like the turquoise and blue. My keyboard came with a disk on the upper right hand side, next to the light button, of the keyboard. This allows you to dim then level of light. So you can dim the light if you want to. I read in other comments and questions if you could dim the light, everyone said no, but I can. If you feel the need to turn off the light you just hold down the light button for about 3 seconds or so and the light turns off. To turn it back on, just push the light button and the light will come back on. Even in a well lit room, you still can see the colors of the keyboard.
Special keys at the top. I rarely have any luck with these keys. I run Linux Ubuntu 14.04 64bit. Most keyboard software, if not all of it, is for Windows. However, I gave them a try. The E-mail button does open my E-mail program, and then was much rejoicing. The Home button doesn't work. The star button, no idea what it really is for, just makes my browser bar in Chrome go away and come back. The next set of keys are for audio. The play button works, but does not call up my music player. The previous button works. The next button works. The stop button works. The next set of buttons are for volume control. The first one to turn down the volume works. The next one to turn up the volume works. The third button, the mute button works fine. The next pair of buttons look like music and computer. The music button does not bring up my music player. The second button, that looks like a monitor, bring up my files windows, which would be like your explorer window. The final button all the way to the right is a calculator button, it brings up my calculator just fine. Over all, with past experiences with these types of buttons, I am extremely please that most of them work. I am hoping to eventually get all of them to work.
I was down to 6 keyboards that light up. Two of them had only five star ratings, but only five reviews. The others had a higher percentage of one star ratings than this one. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this keyboard. I also bought the extended 2 year warranty. I haven't found any problems with it yet. I would and will recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a light up keyboard or an easy to see keyboard. Did I mention the really big letters?

El material es resistente y windows lo detectó automáticamente.
The large letters plus back lighting makes the whole thing superb.
The feekl of the keys are also very good.
Great bonus are the extra keys for launching Browser, Calculator, Context Menu, Multimedia playback controls etc.
The wrist rest is also very good and useful.
