Fabulous color, nonskid rubberized bottom. I've been a fan of Rachel Ray's cookware for years and this Agave Blue Cucina line is fabulous!! Matches the décor in my kitchen and it's great quality. I love to cook, but I hate cleaning up the mess LOL. This garbage bowl is large enough for me to put all of my peels and inedible food parts while I'm cooking a meal. No more stuffing food particles in the disposal or running to and from the kitchen trash. I can place all of my food scraps in here while I cook and dump the bowl all at once. It's larger than I thought. It's made of melamine (like plastic) so use it as it's intended. It's top rack dishwasher safe and the color is beautiful. I will be purchasing the pots to match my bowl.

Deep enough to hold anything I could possibly want to toss while cooking a meal. I can make meat, veggies, and dessert and throw all of the skins, styrofoam, plastic packaging, etc. into this bowl without having to make a trip to the trash can. Bonus points for being an excellent mixing or serving bowl in a pinch. It's thick so I don't have any concerns about it cracking from heat or dropping it on the floor by accident. My plastic mixing bowls all developed fractures on the bottom after being through the dishwasher--not so with this bowl. The inside is a shade of off-white that I haven't had any issues with taking on stains, etc. from anything I put in it the way some of my white plastic dishes have done. The colors and design are classy and don't look tacky if I leave it out on my counter for any reason. I use this all the time for many uses and not just as a garbage bowl.

This is a bowl in the "Cucina" colors--muted colors that are supposed to reflect Italian pottery. I got the Agave blue, which like the plant it's named after, is a dusty blue with a slight robin's egg tone. These bowls are great--I have to keep my garbage in the closed off laundry room because the DOG will grab the can and try to tip it over. So she can't be anywhere near refuse because she tries to get into it. The bowl is so handy as I peel celery or trim chicken and then a short trip to the garbage can and in the contents go. If I knew these were food-safe, I'd buy one to use for bread dough, but nothing says it's free of plasticizers. Oh well.

When it's not being used, it looks very nice on the counter.

This bowl is very useful to have on hand. We've used it as a bread basket, chip container, fruit bowl, etc. It is very lightweight and several people have even asked me if it was ceramic. It is very durable also. We have one of Rachael Ray's original purple garbage bowls as well but wanted a more subdued color. Our first bowl is several years old and still looks new, we expect this one to age the same.
