Product Description

MORE POWER - Forget the quadcopter - get the ultimate control and power of six propellers with the SKEYE Hexa Drone.

A 6-Axis Flight Control System makes the SKEYE Hexa Drone stable and easy to fly, with more control than a standard 4-Axis drone.

But don’t let the stability fool you into thinking that this drone is just for beginners! The SKEYE Hexa Drone has aerobatic “Flip” capability, and enough power for tricks. Adjustable Gyro Sensitivity provides a stable flight, while aerobatic capability lets you flip through the air with precise control.

READY TO FLY (RTF) TECHNOLOGY - Featuring RTF technology you can simply throw the SKEYE Hexa Drone into the air and power its movements with the intuitive controller.

The SKEYE Hexa Drone from TRNDlabs literally leaps into the air with a toss from your hand.

To begin, simply throw the SKEYE Hexa Drone into the air and power its movements with the intuitive controller. It’s so easy to use, you’ll be flying like a pro in no time.

PRECISION MANEUVERING - The 6-axis flight control system and adjustable gyro sensitivity provide a stable flight while aerobatic capability lets you flip through the air with total professional and precise control.

At 5.1” x 5.1” x 1.2” and weighing 1.06 oz., you’ve never been at the controls of such a nimble yet stable hexacopter.

Start with low gyro sensitivity to get the hang of it, then gradually switch to maximum sensitivity and flip and guide your Hexa Drone further afield than you’ve seen before with a hexacopter at this price point. Sophisticated circuitry, piezoelectric gyros, and accelerometers give the SKEYE Hexa Drone outstanding stability. Throw it in the air while throttling up, and it will automatically stabilize!

PRODUCT PARTICULARS - The SKEYE Hexa Drone is equipped with a 3.7V 250mAh LiPo battery. The drone kit also includes six replacement rotor blades and a user guide to get you flying.

Since the Hexa Drone uses a direct controller rather than an app, you can fly it with far more precision than larger, more expensive models. Zip it around your living room, or take it outside. After just a few minutes behind the controls, you’ll know just how much fun flying can be. Thanks to onboard LED’s, you can even take it out and light up the night!

The SKEYE HexaDrone is as depicted in the photos and described in the sales promo. It is a generic product marketed under the SKEYE brand. It can fit in the palm of an adult hand, is 5” in diameter and weighs 30 grams/1.06 oz, which is far less than the 250-gram limit recommended for registration.Drones are becoming very popular and about 500,000 + are expected to be sold this year. I have, at this time, seven drones, all radio-controlled (RC) multirotor toys of various sizes. They are lots of fun to fly indoors and outdoors, but have a learning curve to master the controls. At first, I had a few crashes in the house and some got stuck in trees, bushes etc. Flight times varied from 4 to 8 minutes with drones with a USB charger; but the drones that have removable batteries lasted much longer in the air. When shopping for a toy drone, it is best to choose one with replacement parts included. Cheaper models are made of mostly plastic and the most vulnerable parts are the propellers.I tested the SKEYE Hexa Drone indoors, after initially charging it for about one hour. Its first pairing with the controls lasted 4 minutes and its flight only 6 minutes. After recharging for another hour, the second flight - outdoors - lasted the same. I repeated the test 3 times outdoors, with the same results and LOTS of fun!Maneuverability and responsiveness were as good as my other drones (Axis Turbo X, Cheerson CX-10 and Hubsan X4 H107L), but the Hexa drone seemed more stable than the quadro props. It is best to avoid windy days. The package contained the remote control unit, Hexa Drone, charging USB cable, illustrated user manual and 6 extra propellers; 3 “A” and 3 “B”. When replacing (a lost/damaged) propeller, be sure that it is the correct letter and tilt of the rotor blade. The blades alternate between A and B.The Hexa Drone is ready to fly right out of the box. It appears well-built and sturdy. The illustrations of the Hexa Drone in the user manual depict the drone without the rotor guards; just ignore that and do NOT take the guards off. The drone is charged via the USB cable but the connection is awkward. The remote control unit is powered by 3 AAA batteries (not provided). They are located in the compartment under the orange panel; a small phillips screwdriver is required to open it.The controller has several controls on the top and the sides, as well as “ON/OFF” slide. Best to familiarize yourself with the function of each control before taking flight - less crashes that way. The illustrated user guide is (surprisingly) well written and easy to understand. In my opinion, the SKEYE Hexa Drone is a good step up drone for intermediate users.I purchased this item with a discount coupon. It did not influence my opinion or rating. I have no obligation to write a review. This is not a barter deal. I have no financial or personal connection with the manufacturer, seller or their employees.Copyright Sinohey.

This little hex is awesome. I fly much larger drones professionally as a videographer and like to have a few little guys around for keeping the skills sharp inside. For its size and price, this is very steady and smooth.

Its LED light configuration with 2 red in front (and green on the other 4 arms) is like bigger drones like the DJI Inspire and Freefly Alta (with default settings), which is nice for practicing orientation – being symmetric, this little guy is hard to orient, just like most 6 or 8 rotor cinema drones. Also, it moves a little more like a cinema drone compared to twitchier 4-rotor cousins.

Internal, non-swappable battery is a compromise, I'm sure, to keep the size, cost, and weight down, and make it tougher and free of loose wires. It means no buying a handful of tiny lipos and flying this little guy for any length of time. Many similar-sized multi-rotors have swappable batteries. The remote is tiny and the sticks are a little stiff, but feel precise.

Easy to trim, fun little auto flips in any direction (no doing that on an Alta :) 3 speed settings that make for a good experience from beginner to thrill-seeker. Can take a crash or two.

Great little indoor flyer :)

This drone is a piece of junk. Flew it all of three times before it stopped working. After the third time some of the propellers didn't work as well as the others so the drone would not leave the ground. It would only fly in a circle. The trim buttons are useless too. Lastly, the flight time is only 5 minutes for a hour of charging. Don't waste your money.

This is my first drone. I decided to buy it with a goal of stepping up into larger ones for photography and videography. The Skeye Hexa drone has been pretty solid flyer and very durable as I learn the basics of flight and controlling it. In addition to the Catzilla knocking it out once in awhile. The other day I took it outside for the first time and changed the sensitivity to 'mid-level' ( left front button, press for two beeps) as we had light winds, and it flew great. I am skeptical of the reviews where the flight time claims are upwards of 15 minutes. I have been flying it pretty close to the manufacture specs of the 7-8 minutes. Perhaps I might hit 10 if just flying in static pattern without speed or flips. The drone comes with extra propellers, which I have not needed yet as the blade protectors do a great job. The USB charging cables appears to be similar to an older mini Syma RC heli one I found (Catzilla knocked it out of the sky to many times, no longer flies), I will have to see if it will work and update this.

So for a starter drone, I think this is a fun and great start, and very happy with it. Already looking at X5c or similar for the next one....

When I first flew the drone, it flew fine. But now the proplellors all loosen quickly and one motor seems to have starting turning in the reverse direction. Now the drone only tips over on its back and lays there. I am very disappointed and I wish a refund!

This is really an extremely expensive toy for the way it is built and the quality of materials involved in the production.

1. Battery is not swappable - you cannot buy multiple batteries and swap them because the battery is internal.
2. Proprietary charging port, somewhat (it is used by several other toys of this kind, but still, a pretty silly thing to do)
3. Poor quality plastic/construction
4. Poor quality board, even worse than the now 4+ year old hubsan x4 which was really fun to fly. Basically it requires you to land every now and then for the board to re-set what level ground is.
5. Speed controllers or prop wash gets impeded by the design - you basically cannot have the toy hover, it's always either going up or down. It cannot maintain its current position indoors, 20ft ceiling, no fans or moving air around, far enough off the ground to where prop wash isn't bringing it down, yet it cannot maintain its current position. So either the speed controller doesn't supply the same amount of power continuously, or the prop guards and the design of the aircraft kills the lift. My money is on both, otherwise you'd be able to compensate for the poor design by giving more power to the motors...

I was expecting something that I would enjoy flying, a tiny toy that could give me a few minutes to take my mind off from work but instead I got a toy that needs a whole lot of charging for a few minutes of flight. No way to swap the battery so I can't have a second go at it, I have to charge. The flight it erratic so you can't really have it going places because it's small, since it can't maintain altitude. You either crash or bump into the ceiling.

Anyways, I probably shouldn't have given it 3 stars. But hopefully this product becomes available for sale for fifteen bucks, which would more realistically reflect the quality of this toy + a fat commission for the reseller.

I didn't expect much considering the price. This is my first drone. Too small to fly outside if there is any wind at all. But it is a lot of fun to fly indoors. Very stable and controllable. The most amazing thing about it is how durable it is. I've crashed it into walls, furniture, kitchen appliances and other than knocking off an occasional rotor blade, nothing has broken. The rotor blades snap right back on. Definitely worth buying if you just want a drone to play around with. They do supply 6 replacement rotor blades just in case.

I own several "drones" of various sizes and levels of cost. This is one of the lowest quality that I have tried. One of the six motors on the device was significantly weaker than the others. This made the drone impossible to control while in motion. Even attempting to adjust the motor strength using the stabilizing feature was not able to compensate for the problem.

I have filed for a return and am in the process of returning the product.
